  5. It must be nice to not live under the USA Patriot Act.
  6. Ding ding....such experimentation is illegal... at least here in the states. A bit of discretion should be used when asking of such things. Hell, a farmer can't buy ammonium nitrate without being put on a terrorist watch list.
  7. True, but doesn't this seem a bit peculiar? I mean just a tad......
  8. Well, if you have illegal activity in mind......
  9. ok, best way to get your sodium chlorate. mix a bit of NaOCl with NaHSO4, and then pas the ensuing gas through your drano.....mainly NaOH. When a rough Ph of 7 is achieved, heat the liquid to boiling and then cool. It will throw off a nice crop of NaClO3. Repeat the last step three or four times. By the way, what are you planning on doing with it? "SPRENGEL" comes to mind....
  10. Here's probably the best site out there on the subject. http://www.powerlabs.org/emguns.htm

  16. so, were you attempting to extract NaClo3 as the topic implies? it's fairly easy to do.... you have 1/3 of what you need already.
  17. OK. I took the time to look at an MSDS for drano. It contains sodium hypochlorite....NaOCl..... Bleach..... Totally different animal.
  18. the point is, would it really make sense to have an oxidizer such as the aforementioned in a household product?
  19. So, were you attempting to produce sodium chlorate?
  20. that's odd, sodium chlorate reacts with sulphur or compounds there of
  21. DrainO contains sodium chlorate?
  22. I was thinking more along the lines of pressurizing the saline solution, and passing it through a dialysis membrane.
  23. Good plans, but I thought the whole idea was to come up with something OTHER than distillation? Reverse osmosis would be a bit more difficult, but practical.

At this point, I would like to quote Demonax. "All laws are probably useless, as good men are made no better by them, and the evil care naught."
