  1. thanks, i never new Simple Harmonic Motion was so important
  2. I was told that in nuclear reactions, the law of conservation of mass does not hold true. I was wondering is that because the mass lost is in the form of energy?
  3. I was wondering, does SHM apply to anything that emits waves? and if so, does that mean light in its wave form have SHM? or is there something else to it?
  4. um I've tried to find the total resistance, which I think you get by adding the series (2 and 4) and the parallels (8, 16 and 16). Then multiply by the current which is 4, but the answer I got was wrong. Maybe I need to do something to the 4 A? Or did I add my resistance up wrong (I got 10 Ohms). It's not a hard question (the textbook says so) but I just can't get my head around it. Thanks again.
  5. In the circuit attached, calculate the battery voltage. I know that V=IR, but I need help in figuring out how to use the 4 A. For the total voltage, its the sum of all of the resistance in the circuit multiply the current, but I don't know how to find out the current. Thanks.
  6. Thanks! I got it now.
  7. The enthalpy of vaporization of acetone is 32.0kJ/mol. The normal boiling point of acetone is 56.5 degrees Celcius. What is the vapor pressure of acetone at 25 degrees Celcius? Ok I think I need to use the Clausius-Clapeyron equation: but then I only have 4 out of the 6 unknowns, delta H, T2, T1 and R. If this is the correct method, then how do I find P1?
