Well then the source of the wave in the closed pipe and the source the wave in the opened pipe produce waves with different frequencies. I mean, you can't the same wavelength in an opened pipe and in a closed pipe if the source of the wave produces waves with the same frequency, and this is due to reflection.

We did this life-energy thing couple posts before in this thread. Look them and you'll find what you mean.

Try to do this with the 'table thing', it's very easy and fun too.

In a closed pipe the wave is reflected creating so the standing wave as seen here: and in an opened pipe it would look like this: Now you know that wavelength is the distance from one peak to another. And when we have the wave in an opened pipe, there is no reflection so the wave keeps moving all the time. But in a closed pipe the wave is reflected and now you have extra peaks between the existing ones and so the wavelength gets shorter. Focus on the first picture and try to take out the wave that comes from right to left. Now the wave length gets bigger right? well that's basically it, in a closed pipe the peaks of the wave are closer due to refection of the wave, and that makes it have a shorter wavelength. Hope this helps, Shade

I don't really know but since there is not 100% sulphuric acid then the reaction on Zn with water should probably take place. Just guessing:doh:
-
[ce]H2SO4[/ce] reacting with [ce]Zn[/ce] will produce hydrogen, since Zn has more reductive capability than H. [ce]Zn + H2SO4 ->ZnSO4 + H2[/ce]
-
It is the exact principle by which electromotors work.
-
Carbon dioxide is acidic because in reaction with water give an acid. [ce]CO2 + H2O -> H2CO3[/ce]

What you seem to mention is dualism, how a particle is at the same time a wave. But in the case of mechanical waves, a wave represent the spread of shakes in an elastic medium, a medium that allows these waves to be spread.

Matter energy space and time are things that just cannot be without each other. I don't know why but I'm sure it's this way.

Electromotive force is the force which appears when converting chemical energy sources into electric energy. It represent the energy converted (W) per amount of electricity (q) Potential difference actually represent tension, voltage, it is exactly the same thing. To have electricity flow you need to have a potential difference, and that represents voltage. [math]\Delta \phi = U[/math] edit: this \phi is not what I really wanted but it works I hope:-)

My personal opinion on this is that first of all a PhD will grant you a lot of respect among people. A PhD is a synonym of a man/woman who has tried and worked hard and successfully achieved a reputation, no matter in what field. But the incomes really depend on what field you got a PhD. In the city I live there are at least 5-6 with PhD (something related to cardiology) that don't even work because there is no place, but taken generally anyone with a PhD earns enough to have a good life with his/her family but the problem is time, there's a little leisure time I believe for them due to being busy researching on their fields.

In mechanics the cause would be a vibration or the rotation of a molecule(s) and as molecules are tied together then this vibration is transported creating so the effect - wave.

Isn't growth part of the metabolism, because IIRC growth (generally) represent the domination of anabolic processes, as a result of which energy is 'stored' in the organism?

They could go on combining infinitely.

Dunno, but it sure is mine too! Oh dear, don't go there! After we losing the food somewhere when me and my colleagues were on 'climbing tour', I was so hungry I could even eat a rat and don't care about the taste.

What the heck is that thing next to the Moon???

I'm guessing a satellite. But did you drink anything before that? Because I usually see 'stuff' when I drink something 'fancy'. -

And as a conclusion we are safe:D wouldn't it be wiser if we just sorted out things here on earth and not worry about intergalactic colonization? -
I have watched those series couple months ago and the word "everything" is frequently used, and everything means everything, including brain. But always referring to brain as something objective and not subjective.

Now is eternal!

OK, so making a huge-sized bible will produce more energy! My my, I got to buy a couple hundred bibles.

There's one thing I don't understand here Abasia. Let's suppose that what your 'theory' is correct. What would we benefit from that? Understand time? I really don't think so. I mean, there are dozens of papers out there beginning from ancient times that give a better explanation about time than you are. If I were you I wouldn't really spend much time on this because I see nothing I could benefit from this. If you are doing this to create your own point of view for time then OK, that nice, but you really need to see what will you get before you being doing anything.

Pleasurable doesn't always mean healthy. Sometimes a little sacrifice really pays back.

OK great, but my personal opinion is that this oversimplifies 'life'.
