  1. About 40 hours, during the war. And the worst is that we were walking almost all the time. If anyone has experienced it, you'd give everything for an hour of sleep. It's so damn terrible, I hope it never happens again!
  2. No sunshine, it's the government of Serbia which became apparent that is not a government that a modern country should have. And why the government collapsed? Well you cannot go on governing a country when inside the government you got pro-western politicians and radical ultra-nationalist politicians like Vojislav Kostunica. They just don't fit!
  3. You see how thing become apparent!
  4. And you are so right!
  5. Have you ever thought that gravity which dark matter causes might be part of the gravity we feel in our physical world? Like our gravity might actually represent the gravity of 'known matter' and dark matter as well (just assuming)!
  6. First I would like to congratulate you Victor for your achievement. Computer science or Programming? Programming is hard work (I'm talking about the good programming), and if you work alone it will take a lot of time and the results will often be not so good. It is a job which seeks for patience, creativity, mathematical logic and time. It's a very good addictive job, and it is paid well, but I personally would not like to have that as my main job. You are always challenged, and need to work very hard to be actual which I honestly don't like. Computer science seems more appropriate to me, and probably meets your criteria. All the bests and good luck Victor, Shade!
  7. This is getting quite habitual now! If anyone has a better (or a good) explanation about the topic of any thread, please share it with us publicly. Everyone will appreciate that!
  8. It's good that you're keeping it this simple, because I personally have an addiction to complicate these concept due to the great influence philosophy has in me. Philosopher classify existence as a unique property that only belongs to humans and is one element that makes humans different from any other living organism. The philosophical definition of existence is a bit different from the biological one. Existence in philosophy does not just mean having extension in time and space, but existence means having to ability to understand things that are beyond our physical reach! But anyway, that's just philosophy!
  9. I was trying to say something simple that would tell the largeness of space, but I believe there is nothing simpler and more meaningful than this phrase. Thanks Tom!
  10. This is a very good (IMO) organic chemistry book.

    Death

To go down or up it depends from the position of the body when put in a grave. If legs are higher then the level of head, then it will go 'up' and the other way around too. Which route? Well, that one probably is 'chosen' by a 'chaotic' probability, probably the one in which blood flows more easily! But, what's the point of the question anyway?, or is it just for curiosity (if so, weird)!!!
  12. I don't intend to be harsh here, but this is quite a primitive logic. I mean, knowing that chromosomes are purely crucial to us, to gorillas and any other organism, the removal of them would have dramatic effect (and for bad I believe). But we always have to leave options opened (I'd support iNow here). And if you somehow manage to come up with what you say, then you'd leave absolutely no room for creationists!
  13. Great Alan, thanks for the info;)
  14. And you probably should be:rolleyes:...
  15. Because posts in GD are not counted!
  16. I thought of using Milka myself!!! I wonder how would it taste after the experiment:rolleyes:
  17. Try that your self: [math]V=\frac{m}{M}\times V_m[/math] m=mass M=molar masss [math]V_m=22.41\frac{mol}{dm^3}[/math]
  18. The three belong to the 'exact sciences' and any choice you take would be fine. I mean, for those who really want to understand how we work, how our world works and how everything works would absolutely enjoy studying any ob the above. Biology offer a very exciting world of understanding what is alive, how does 'alive' work, what really happens inside our organism, how are diseases caused, what really is aging, and the exciting world of genetics and molecular biology which is absolutely fascinating. Chemistry tells everything about the composition, what are we made of, why the 'stuff' we are made of is so special, why do substances have the features they have, what is useful and what not for humans, by experimenting always tries to improve the conditions we live. And physics, physics, physics the king of all. The philosophy of nature! What do we get from physics? Well, we get nature! Physics literally tells how our world works. I honestly find it hard to describe what physics provides us since it actually offers of everything. IMO physics is the king of all and 100% worth to study and get all the degrees existing in it. Yet, like hermanntrude said, an ideal scientist would have all three!
  19. Just like any other substance with [math]\mu < \mu_0[/math] !
  20. It is not the nuclear power that should be concerning ethics, it is the way it is used. Nuclear power without any doubt is a great source of energy, and using it in proper way and in ways which are relevant to humanity would only make it more precious. But again, I don't see any reason why this should concern ethics!
  21. I remember something like: "Big Bang couldn't have possibly happened because it would have destroyed everything!" I don't know who said that, but hell it made me burst out laughing!
  22. I'm not in any of them, but from what I've heard and read MIT rocks man!!!
  23. Strangely I get warnings for that:rolleyes:...
  24. I personally think it's just a waste of time and money. But while we're out there exploring and studying universe, then why not look for 'some life'!
  25. Actually in 20 g of [ce]CaCl2[/ce] you got 0.18 moles. [math]n=\frac{m}{M}=\frac{20g}{110\frac{g}{mol}}=0.181818mol[/math]
