Well every single thing inside the cell has a specific function, and due to the harmonization of the functions of every organelle cells work as a since unit. Ribosomes produce proteins. They are made of ARNr combining with some enzymes. What proteins actually do is translate the combination of nitrogen bases in the combination of aminoacis in the polypeptidic line. Proteins can combine 5-40 to form polysomes or polyribisomes. Mitochondria is another organelle where the aerobic 'breathing' takes place. The processes that occur inside mitochondria are typically catabolic. Also in mitochondria there occurs Krebs Cycle which generates a lot of ATP (energy molecules) that cell need to perform its physiological processes. Lysosomes have the complete garnish of enzymes which when released have the ability to dissolve different molecules (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids). Linked with lososomes are also the terms heterofag andautofag, which mean those enzymes can dissolve other materials or the cell itself. Golgi apparatus, another organelle which when found more than once in a cell is called dictyosome. It's function is excretion and also the synthesis of glucoproteins. Endoplasmatic reticulum which can me rough and smooth. It's function is transport and (when rough) also protein synthesis. It is called rough because is has ribosome on it. And you can read online about other organelles function too. This is what the advantage is. Every organelle does something for the cell, making so possible the survival of the cell itself! edit: if I have done any grammatical error ignore it, I hate checking it all over again!

I'll give it a shot next week, to see if my OTHER plan is gonna work>, this time by the system! And sadly it turns out that I have been too much influenced by this! -
And I remember iNow saying that SFN has 94 members>>...

That was expected, although nobody expected such strong support for Serbia by Russia. And I saw Putin's speech and to tell you the truth I was breath-taken! It is truly hard to believe how can they still insist for Kosovo to be part of Serbia when the indications are very very clear that Kosovo is going to get it's independence this Sunday, and the next day over a 100 countries in Security Council are expected to accept our independence! But the funny thing happened today. Serbia called an assembly in Security Council requesting it to contradict the independence of Kosovo. How can SC possibly do that when the independence has not yet been declared, and our parliament has not yet given an official date? It is indeed hard to understand the slavic mentality!

OMG! And I was waiting for my posts to be removed due to 'too clear' explanation> ! When will you get the result anyway? And zule, yes you are right, but I was giving 'rough' hints so CrazCo can understand that amoeba has no chloroplasts, since we are not supposed to give answers directly!

And the age of immorality has now come! Prepare for the 'day of judgment' people! These are the signs of ultimate calamity>! edit: Interesting article though. Thanks for sharing YDOP!

And I feel like this is just a fancy way of saying 'We literally do not understand time. Everything we know about time is pure product of our imagination and can change due to different ways of thinking what time is!' That's sad, but it's got truth inside:-( !

It's the system I have problems with. I feel like rules limit you and drive you to a 'get stuck' situation, and that is bad, real bad! Or is it that I have not been considering that I may be wrong after all:eek: ? -
It has actually! St. Augustin (philosopher) spent a lot of time trying to explain time and he ended up with: "I know what time is, but if someone asks me to explain what time is, then I don't know what time is!" And a short quote from him about 'time is now': "People mistakenly say there are three times: past, present and future. There is only present time that refers to the past, present time that refers to the present and present time that refers to the future."

It's kinda sad about these applications and scholarships. I won twice the national competition that offers scholarships for students, but due to my awful behavioural marks I wasn't able to get transfered to any of the colleges! -
Yeah DrP, I saw that immediately after I had posted in this thread:doh:!

Thanks iNow! I truly am proud, since this is something that we have fully deserved! And no Darwin, fortunately Nikolic didn't make it. Although that couldn't influence our status issue much!

You got the amoeba thing right:D!

How does the pig survive?
thedarkshade replied to gib65's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
It would have been a wild pig then. And in colonies the survival it's not a hard thing! You were not thinking of leaving the pig alone were you? -

thedarkshade replied to Marconis's topic in Science Education
That's not a problem. After all, there is s huge number of experiments that you can easily try them yourself. Just explore, you'll see that it's no big deal. After all, when you go to university you'll have the chance to experiment anyway! Just try to keep an eye to the world. It's all science itself! Cheers! -
What do you mean? Just to play the music near plants or 'inject' it somehow? I know no explanation about this, but I'm skeptical such thing could be possible. After all, music is no factor that can influence plant in any way possible. They don't literally feel it!

Where Does Space End? It Must End Somewhere!
thedarkshade replied to Edisonian's topic in Astronomy and Cosmology
I absolutely agree! It is on the nature of science to progress all the time. Knowledge has no borders, neither does the desire for knowledge. Mainstream model might be the best right know, but science will sure come up with better understandings of the universe. After all, this is what science does and is valuable for. A pleasure discussing with you Martin! Cheers, Shade! -
It's been nine years since war ended here (in Kosovo) and three years of tiring negotiations with the serbians which turned out to be a complete failure. The Security Council did not manage to solve the issue of Kosovo since Russia contradicted vigorously to support the independence of Kosovo, and now it seems like everything is coming to a happy end! On the 17th of this month we expect from our parliament to declare Kosovo's independence and soon after a big big number of countries are expected to accept our independence. IT"S COMING TRUE! I can't believe it! If you guys only had the possibility to see the emotions that are living among us! It's an absolutely wonderful situation when everyone is getting ready to celebrate this act on a massive and unseen way. It is the first time on the history of our nation that we become independent. Kosova will become the newest country in the world! What do you guys think about this act? And what do you think the reactions of Serbia and Russia be after we have declared independence?
