I just woke up from such situation. You really have the right to be annoyed by! It's absolutely a bad feeling!

Making possible our existence and the existence of every living thing! edit: and it is necessary to be "bombarded" by energy all the time. Energy flows! That means you once use it and convert it into useless energy (heat), and you need more and more all the time!

Yes, I was thinking of that too. In [ce]CO2[/ce] for example the bond is arranged in such angle that the attraction of oxygen by both carbons is the same so the distance of oxygen from both carbons is the same and that's why it is not a polarized molecule. But in [ce]H2O[/ce] the angle of bond is 104.5 and the attraction of hydrogens toward oxygen doesn't really go in a straight line so it causes polarity! [ce]CCl4[/ce] is another example of non-polarized molecule due to the same factor like [ce]CO2[/ce].

Ah, I got it! Pure imagination, typically sci-fi! The definition of perfection!

No matter what you are thinking of, you are dealing with matter-antimatter annihilation and I see that as RED ALERT. There is quite a lot energy coming out, so watch it! Think of electron + positron = 938MeV released!

I share the same opinion too! There is enough diversity with two sexes too! In what way he becomes like that? If you don't mind explaining...

The 2nd law says that you cannot extract energy without a temperature difference. If there is no temperature difference then you get zero efficiency. example: [math]E= 1- \frac{90C}{90C} =1 - 1 = 0 \times 100= 0[/math] The 2nd law does not demand Th and Tc approach one another, it does not demand anything just explains. It tells that the higher the difference in temperature, the higher the energy extraction. If Th approaches Tc then you get less and less efficiency.

Melon sized!!! Only the "shield" would take much more room! In public the word nuclear reactor means something really really dangerous and fearsome! And if they heard that a nuclear reactor was made at the size of a melon they'd feel like it is not properly controlled and the energy released from the reaction could (with no problem) break the roper and create havoc!

Oh, I see! Thank you IA!

Polarized molecule is a molecule that has poles (+ and -). Water for example is a polarized molecule. The polarity of water is due to changes in the value of electronegativity of oxygen and hydrogen. Oxygen has a big electronegaticity value( only F has bigger) so it attracts toward himself the electronic pair (because the bond in water is covalent) and so it is polarized negatively. And so the electrons move a bit away from hydrogen and that causes it to polarize positively. It is this change in electronegativity that makes water molecules possible to create hydrogenic bonds. The positive pole of one molecule is attracted by the negative pole of the other molecule, causing so the hydrogenic bond. And it is hydrogenic bond the reason that gives water some very important features and makes it a key factor for life! Cheers, Shade

And is there any way of storing that, so you could then somehow use it? Any techniques of "catching them" and using them for useful purposes?
-
Correct. You measure the efficiency by: [math]E=1 - \frac{T_C}{T_H}[/math]! You'll need a big temperature change in order to get 100% efficiency, which I have not heard of so far. Yup! Conservation of energy!;-)

Hmmm, you're planning something fancy YT aren't you! Tell us the rest!
-
Why don't you tell us the right number John! 10000V seems high enough to me!
-
thanks swansont, very helpful links. and sayonara: it was the way I posted it! Do some research! Cheers!

Too hard to control. Lightning sometimes can have tension of over 10000 and it comes so fast! It's too hard to control! edit: 10000V ( i missed a V)

Where Does Space End? It Must End Somewhere!

I made the same question too. Check out post #293 Universe is expanding, and universe defined as matter. It's not really like the mass is increasing and there is always more and more matter. No, everything is moving away from everything, but the mass has remained constant since the Big Bang. Conservation of matter! -
High pressure exerts forces, everyone knows that! I mean, look at the planes wings. On the top side, the air is moving very fast, so that responds to low pressure, so their is no force acting from up to down in the plane wing. But on the bottom side of the wing, the air is moving slower, and that responds to high pressure, and high pressure exerts force and that force acts from down to up, and makes possible the plane take-off! edit: and gravity due to pressure imbalance? I find it difficult to cope! According to relativity gravity is due to disortions of space-time fabric!

yeah, like swansont said you can easily get hydrogen from water electrolysis. But also with electrolysis of some salts solution, some acids electrolysis , electrolysis of alkali peroxides. Another method of getting hydrogen is also the reaction of acids with metals: [ce]Zn + 2HCl -> ZnCl2 + H2[/ce] Then there is also called the industrial method of getting hydrogen, which stand on the reaction of reddened carbon and water steam. [ce]C + H2O -> CO + H2[/ce] Then if you still continue the reaction in 500-600C in the presence of some enzymes you will get: [ce]CO + H2 + 2H2O -> CO2 + 3H2[/ce] Cheers, Shade

Yes! It's simply infinite. Infinite expansion fits in infinity too! -
Yes, that's what I meant. But if the fertilization process is the same, then why 8 or 9 sexes? Diversity? 2 sexes can give enough diversity, look at humans. You can't find two people that are 100% the same. Isn't that enough? It seems meaningless, but I'm sure there must be a good reason after it! Thnx for reply! Cheers, Shade

Got it.. reading now! Thnx and search the forum for a LaTeX tutorial

Well I took this data from a script I recently read, and the author's got a PhD on physics and works for US national security so I should believe it. It seems high but that's not strange. Check out post #4 Cheers, Shade

Why should gravity get weaker and weaker? The expansion should get weaker and weaker due to gravitational pull. I don't get it! There's nothing at south pole, because the BOOM happened in north pole, and there was all the matter. There's nothing at south pole that would cause gravitational attraction. I've heard something similar to this earlier, but this cannot go on for ever. After every "BOOM" there would be some loss of energy (entropy tends to increase), and loss after loss this BOOM scenario would always get weaker and weaker. The best model is that there was just one BOOM, and the idea that all the matter will ever get together again seems very hard to believe. Dark energy is speeding up the universe expansion and there is nothing that can stop that and pull it back together again. Dark matter could, but there is just not enough. Well it should require "black" matter because we know it is there because of the gravity that causes. If you have a theory than you cannot leave out something that is certainly is there. And there is no anti-gravity stuff! Now what I posted seems logical to me too. Cheers, Shade -
I learned them by groups too. It's more practical and you remember each element easily. But it all takes time! Good Luck, Shade
