Hi guys, So there's a science fair that I'm participating in and I want somebody to bounce off ideas with me so I could come up with the perfect one. I'm thinking my theme for the science fair is environmental cuz that's the stuff that I'm more interested in. Right now, I'm just thinking biofuel/biodiesel and all those boring stuff...definitely not going to win. So... What are some major environmental issues that's going on around the globe? Extinction of species of any kind? New ways for renewable energy that I could expand on? It'd be nice if I could start with something. Thx in advance!

So, I was just thinking of some chemical terminologies the other day and then it appears to me that some could make great pet names! If I ever get a chinchilla, I'll name it Buckyball. Milimo (mmol) is good too Post some names if you come across any ok? Have fun.

Do you think scrubbers are actually helping the environment? My opinion is that it's really not that useful because it creates more problems than solved. So much of the residue from the reactions in the scrubbers need further processing.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the trends in the periodic table and somewhat touched on electronegativity. However, the problem is that I have to write at least two pages about the two elements. All I can think of to write about is their atomic radius, valence electron and their tendency to form positive ions instead of negative...

Soo, I am suppose to write an essay about comparing the electron affinity of potassium and lithium... I know that both of these elements do not usually form a negative ion and that they're part of the same group. So now I'm stuck because I have nothing to talk about. Any thoughts or ideas on what I should write?
