Hi R/G - I know you didn't really want fiction, but as soon as I read your thread title I thought of the Power Armour worn by Space Marines (Fictional charachters created by Games Workshop). Although it isn't real - It is cool. Have you come accross Space Marines at all?

So do you not like tennis then? If you quit at 65 then you would have worked hard all your life and paid taxes - then not get any of the money back. At 65 you can start drawing your pension, quit work and play golf or tennis everyday - or do some gardening with your Wife/Husband/Partner. It's what we work for, no? So we can one day give it up, retire and do all those things we wished we could do when we were younger, but couldn't because we had to bloody work. The only trouble is - we are too old then to be able to do them as well as we could have done in our 20's and 30's. I know people who are well over 65 and they are having the best times of their lives because thay no longer have to go to work everyday. They can now persue their hobbies and favourite pastimes.

Stroke it redularly, massage its back - feed it well and talk to it nicely in a high pitched tone. Keep its cage clean and tidy (possibly consult a feng suei expert about the cage layout). I agree - but I think it is a bit ambigious and a matter of personal opinion where the lines are drawn between deliberate incitement and heated pasionate discussion.

I wasn't suggesting you did or didn't agree with it. I was stating that I think the lines get blurred when differentiating between racism (Inciting racial hatred etc..) and talks regarding national security. The right wing parties talk about closing borders and the left wingers shout racism. The correct procedure would probably be somewhere in the middle. As for the relavance - I was thinking back to the Dutch bloke who wasn't allowed into the UK for suggesting a ban on people entering Holland who were from Islamic countries. Personally I think he goes too far and is a bit of a racist bigot. I do believe that he should have his say though - and that there is some truth in what he said. The protesters that called for his beheading proved him right. The UK then ban him from the country - I assume it is because our way too left wing goverment are scared that people might actually agree with him and they don't want his views heard. Where is the line drawn between 'Racial Hatred' and 'National Security' then Klaynos? If in 1944 we were talking about restricting access of Germans into the UK - would that have been Racial hatred? Or would it have just been sensible security measures? I have a big thing about closing the country's borders during times of war (e.g. - a few years back we go to war in Afganastan and then let in thousands of people from that country - then we get terrorist attacks and wonder why). I can't be doing with any of it. Some bloke in the UK is suing for mistreatment. He came to the UK illeagally in the first place, but was given asylum. After 2 years he left and lived in Taliban ruled Afganistan. He then went to the training camps in Pakistan and tried to enter the UK under a false passport during a time a war. He was arrested and locked up. Now he's suing. **** him!!! Send him back to pakistan or afganistan - or anywhere, I don't care - Don't give him asylum here again - too many links to the terrorist organisations. Deport him instead on grounds of national security. Or just shoot him.
