If there is only one force, then how do you explain the Coulomb barrier? Once a nucleon passes the Coulomb barrier, the weak nuclear force is strong enough to extremely overpower the EM force and cause the nucleon in question to become bound to the nucleus. It's a matter of a long range repulsive force verses a short range attractive force. The closer the nucleon gets to the nucleus, the stronger the repulsion.....until it passes into the range of the weak nuclear force and is almost immediately bound. What's your explanation?

The above post is so off the wall that it's almost not even worth responding to. However, it is rather common for sheeple to regurgitate without thinking. So the only think keeping you from raping and pillaging is the fear that an invisible father figure will torture you forever if you're bad? How on earth are you claiming moral superiority on THAT basis? What's wrong with the authority of man? How is actually getting punished here, by people we know exist, less authoritarian than possibly getting punished after you die by someone whose existence is indistinguishable from non-existence? Morality can be summed up as what we 'ought' to do. Some people like to dwell on the problem of not being able to derive an 'ought' from an 'is', but I don't actually see it as a problem. We may not be able to derive an ought from an is, but we can derive an "ought, if" from an "is". It is merely a matter of observing the conditions and determining the necessary course to meet the desired outcome. We are social animal, and as such, benefit from peace(at the least within our tribe). If we want an effective society, we ought foster peace. People do respect others more when they are given respect. If you want to be respected, you ought respect others. etc We've evolved to be social animals, so we ought to do what benefits and maintains a stable society. Actually, it's because we're social animals with an evolved social contract. Nice try, though.

IIRC, Islam has many of the same rules as Judaism. In Judaism, God said shaving is bad.

Iirc, lottery profits go to education funds, so this(facetious as it may be) is somewhat accurate. edit:_____________________________________

There's actually some contextual evidence against that. "Then answered Peter and said unto him, 'Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?'. And Jesus said unto them, 'Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.'"-Matthew 19:27-28 "Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."-Luke 22:28-30 Why would Jesus have Judas(one of the twelve) be one of the rulers of the Kingdom if He knew that Judas would betray Him? Based on independent attestation(the same thing is said with different wording, so it's likely to be M and L rather than Q), contextual credibility(see preceding sentence), and the criterion of dissimilarity, it is likely that Jesus was unaware that He would be betrayed. However, it is likely that, as the passover week progressed, Jesus began to expect to be arrested as He did make quite a ruckus in the Temple(not to mention that His followers were illegally armed).

How do you plan on overcoming I2R losses and friction? -
Does creating not involve changing? Prior to the creation, the creator exemplifies the property of not observing its creation. After the creation, the creator exemplifies the property of observing its creation. Either that means the creator is necessarily imperfect, or I'm not buying #4.

What of the case of complete transhumanism? Should I transcend biology and no longer need the biological form, would I then be a god? At that point, I'd be the immortal consciousness of the universe.

You could form your own ISP and lay cable to your neighborhood. But here's the problem: how do you convince people(or the city) to let you lay cable on their property?

So what you're saying is that I should go learn how to program.

[14:41] <mooeypoo> So let's just agree to not know whether we agree or not, and leave it at that.

Omnipotent beings cannot microwave? That doesn't seem very omnipotent.

Do large numbers of people actually click spam links? I'm the type of person that would avoid the product being spammed if out of nothing else sheer annoyance.

Microwaving is not an action? Then what did I do to my TV dinner?

I wonder how many e-mail addresses this guy has made in the past year.

It's not a contradiction as much as it is an external inconsistency.

Except that they're not as 'cohesive' as you're implying. Good thing that's not at all what I'm doing. Fairly impressive thing to smite with smell via internet connection. Free will ≠ non-predictive. In fact, Free Will depends upon some level of determinism. Both. I split them via my will through technology.

Dude, if you're going to spout crazy, give some citations. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged I'm not sure this really works. As you said, it's more of a polytheism. That being said, non of the original Christianities had the trinity; it was a later addition.
