Are the nuclear forces additive? I could have sworn that the weak force was saturable. It doesn't make much sense to be saturable and additive. Then again, it's been a while since I looked at that stuff.

But there is acceleration with gravity. [math]a=G\frac{m}{r^2}[/math] There is no motion(assuming you're talking about objects resting on the Earth's surface) because of the normal force that is exerted on the object by the Earth.
