  2. Just so ya know; eye aar a MM2 select now.

  3. I'm sorry about your post. If I had to guess, I would say that it is because it dealt more with religion than with science. In the past few years, the site has decided to not allow religious content.

But then again, I'm not a moderator or an administrator. If you you want a positive answer, ask someone whos name appears in red or blue.

  4. So, you should irc more! <Gilded> Oh for frak's sake that Quran shit is bananas <mooeypoo> yeah its not worth it, ydoaps <mooeypoo> look up quran black holes <mooeypoo> they have answers to EVERYTHING <mooeypoo> if they want to be deluded and change their interpretations every time a new discovery is made, there's nothin you can do about it <Gilded> If I don't get a job tomorrow I'm going to start working on a new cosmologic view based on Sesame Street <Flashman> so what role would the cookie monster play in a cosmological model? <ydoaPs> Gilded, you better epically fail that fncking interview <Capn_Refsmmat> Gilded: you're applying for something? <Gilded> I'm applying for anything <Gilded> It's one of those companies that list employers and sort of act as the middleman
  5. Welcome to ScienceForums.Net

  6. <ydoaPs> we were just talking about how Gilded accidentally a whole chainsaw <Capn_Refsmmat> accidentally what a whole chainsaw? <ydoaPs> yes! a whole chainsaw! <Gilded> That can totally happen <Gilded> But man, when you accidentally a whole chainsaw... <Flashman> I don't know about anyone else but I'm mentally inserting "mistook for a suppository" after all the accidentallies for amusement value. <Gilded> When you accidentally a chainsaw you start wondering where will it all end? <Flashman> in tears no doubt. <Gilded> Some day you might just wake up in Mexico, with your nose bleeding after doing some coke, and then you find out you accidentally an avocado or some shit like that <Gilded> And on your way to rehab you pass out and wake up in Peru, only to find out you've accidentally a llama * Munga (Munga@cloak-AE4C1E55.dyn.centurytel.net) has joined #sfn * ChanServ gives voice to Munga <ydoaPs> accidentally a llama? <ydoaPs> that must hurt <Gilded> Perhaps if you accidentally the whole llama <ydoaPs> who knows how many people go to a Cherokee casino, do some peyote, and wake up only to realise they accidentally a whole cactus? <Gilded> Exactly <Gilded> So kids, don't accidentally stuff
  7. We can never hope to defeat such a massive wall of word salad! There is only one option. We must make the arduous trek to the server farm and unplug SFN from the matrix. It's the only way to destroy the evil crackpottery that is the OP. Help us Obiwan Kenobi; you're our only hope.
  8. A better yet similar explanation from Stanford about half way through.
  9. <Gilded> [20:47] <+ydoaPs> irc was a fairly good delivery method for that <- Well, the GFT (Ghey Field Theory) bases on an existing mathematical framework, and is simply an extension of the Dirac equations simplified in gheyspace using vierbein fields, with a hint of Fourier transformed gheytime <ed84c> yeh but GFT is testable <Gilded> Indeed, but it was still met with strong skepticism <insane_alien> as it should have been <Gilded> Yes, there were many people in physics back then who hadn't embraced their inner gheyness <insane_alien> if it wasn't met with the skepticism we would never have discovered ghey polarizability theorem <insane_alien> or heisenbugers uncertainty principle of trannys <Raxo> Gilded, swedons again? <Gilded> Yes, but the ramifications of GFT extend much further than just swedons <Raxo> like? <insane_alien> it explains san fransisco <Gilded> It lead to the discovery of a very special case of the Casimir force <Gilded> Where two adjacent, sexually neutral metal plates will feel an increasing homosexual tension as they get closer to each other ==================================================================================================== <Gilded> But I'd like to take a minute and sit right here <Gilded> I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air <ydoaPs> in west phillidelphia born and raise. on a playground i spend most of my days <Gilded> Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool and all shooting some b-ball outside of the school <ydoaPs> when a couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my neighborhood <Gilded> I got in one little fight and my mom got scared, and said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air" <ydoaPs> i whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said "fresh" and it had dice in the mirror <Gilded> If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought now forget it, yo home to Bel-Air!
  10. Those MIT OpenCourseWare lectures are available on iTunes as well.
  11. Moo informed me of this as well. Now I must look like the nerdiest democrat ever. I have the Audacity of Hope, The God Delusion, several MIT lectures, and several Stanford lectures on my iPod. Keep the links coming for those without iTunes
  12. Stanford has some online Quantum Mechanics lectures. Anyone else want to share some online lectures?
  13. Stanford has some Special Relativity lectures up on YouTube. Anyone else have some good online lectures?
  14. Stanford has a pretty good series of lectures on Classical Mechanics. Any one else care to share some good online lectures?
  15. You are at the center of a 20m equilateral triangle with a raptor at each corner. The top raptor has a wounded leg and is limited to a top speed of 10 m/s. The raptors will run toward you. At what angle should you run to maximize the time you stay alive?
  16. MIT Differential Equation lecture videos

    message to swansont

This is probably best left to a Private Message.
  19. Mercury is moving faster perpendicular to the gravitational attraction.
  20. Opps...I did. Don't mind me. I'm crazy on lack of sleep.
  21. If you mean [math]\lim_{x\to\infty}(1+\frac{1}{x})=1[/math], then you're wrong. [math]\lim_{x\to\infty}(1+\frac{1}{x})=\lim_{x\to\infty}1+\lim_{x\to\infty}\frac{1}{x}=1+\lim_{x\to\infty}\frac{1}{x}[/math]. [math]\lim_{x\to\infty}\frac{1}{x}[/math] does not exist, so [math]\lim_{x\to\infty}(1+\frac{1}{x})[/math] does not exist.

    Mirror's Edge

My flatmate has a PS3 and LBP; from what I saw of it, it's a bit odd. It looks good, though. It turns out, that if you pre-ordered Mirror's Edge, it comes with a bag just like the one used by the runners in the game. It's too big for my xbox, though. Oh well, I'll be able to shove all kinds of stuff in it next time I move.
  23. Why would banned users be the first post people see?
  24. It comes out on Wednesday. The demo rocked pretty hardcore, but it was only a tutorial and about half of a level. Since I pre-ordered it, I was able to unlock the time trial mode, though.
