    Bigfoot?

What about this video? And the dermal ridges: why are dermal ridges COMPLETELY ABSENT in the Patterson video? We've discussed all of this before; the video is clearly a fake.
  2. Electrons in atoms/molecules are usually bound(apart from valence electrons), so you would need energy to free them.
  3. Uranium is a metal and it looks like one. It's roughly the same colour as steel.
  4. Calories aren't necessarily as important as blood chemistry. While a medium potato may only have 100 Calories(I assume you meant Calories instead of calories due to the sheer ridiculous nature of the claim otherwise) it is mostly starch. Starches are like tiny sugar grenades and release the sugar into the bloodstream very quickly. Potatoes are very high on the glycemic index and are thus fattening.
  5. Did you try writing out the multiplication and making a series of equations?
  6. Same to you. Have you tried our site's Internet Relay Chat? If not, click on the Chat link near the top of every page.

  7. It depends on how you want to use it. Does portability matter?
  8. Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, eBay.... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=abcat0502001&type=category http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/category.do?catOid=-12963&N=20012961+20012963&c=1 http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=4070 http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37.l1312&satitle=laptop&category0=
  9. You can get a decent laptop for under $1000.
  10. Well, what price range are you in? Macs are more expensive, but they work better(mainly because they have better parts and the software is designed for the parts instead of being designed to work on almost anything). Now, you can even use Windows on a Mac bot(and it works better due to better standard parts). About games, many games are made for Macs as well. In fact, I got Fable when I bought my MacBook Pro. However, they are a lot more expensive.
  11. I'm bumping the thread. Where have all the cowboys gone? Err, I meant Haikus.

    solve this

How did you approach this problem? Do you have any attempts we can see?
  13. From each according to his ability; to each according to his need.
  14. Unless it's spinning.
  15. OpenOffice? LaTeX?
  16. I thought Eric5 tried to use math.....I get them all mixed up.
  17. [math]{\Delta}E{\Delta}t{\geq}\frac{\hbar}{2}[/math] so, on a small enough time scale, the uncertainty in energy is sufficiently large for particle-antiparticle creation. So, something CAN come from nothing....for a short time.
  18. We DO have that. It's just nowhere near done yet.
  19. The room would be part of the universe. Although, since space is nothing but a separation, there would be no "room" past the outwardmost object.
  20. By definition of Universe, there is no outside.
  21. What makes you say that? Just as distance is the separation between objects, duration is the separation between states of a system. Time and space are similar concepts in that they are both just separations. They are also both relative with respect to reference frames due to the energy differences between frames. What makes you say that?
  22. They must have added the post restriction after the spam attack a few days after the Social Groups were added to the site.
  23. I thought it was what they DIDN'T find that was important.
  24. Anyone can make one. At the bottom of the Social Group page, click "Create a New Group."
