Depending on how long I'm on hold, I will have plenty of time to read. A few guys here were only supposed to be here for a few days and they have been here for a few months. I think mine will be quicker since I just have an appointment. After the appointment, I should be able to get my medical record and then get my new orders. This is the military, so it might take a while.

Boot camp was quite a bit less difficult than I had anticipated. In fact, it was very easy. I had loads of fun when I wasn't bored to death. I think the best part was Battle Stations, but we're not allowed to talk about that. For those that don't know, I'm a nuclear machinist mate in the U.S Navy. I can't go to "A" school yet, though, because I have a medical appointment in a civilian hospital on Tuesday and I graduated from RTC Great Lakes Summer Camp, err, Boot Camp yesterday. I get weekday liberty starting at 16 00, so I'll be in from time to time.

I leave for the Hilton in three hours.

The closest thing I have is I get a little nervous when there is a bee within a six inch invisible bubble around me. If I have a phobia, it's one I haven't found out about yet. With you being a vegan, I thought you'd me more like me about bugs. I won't kill them, but I'll move them. In fact, it gets on my nerves when people kill spiders just because they are spiders.

I got the results in the mail a few days ago. I got a 3 on the physics, and a 4 on the calculus.

I watch way too much TV.The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Smallville, Supernatural, House, and It Takes A Theif.....that's about it.

Basic training is 9-10 weeks. I may or may not have some leave before my school, depending on when it starts.

I'm just kinda depressed that I'm going to be away from my girlfriend so long. I can retire at 38 and make some good money on the way, but I'm going to serve my enlistment before I decide.

I declined sub duty. I'll be running the reactors on carriers. Yes, that is where my basic is. After I complete basic, I will have internet access, so I will post at times. I will be busy, though, so it most likely wont be much.

I am an American, but I am not in the army. I am in the Navy. I guess you could say we have a professional army, since they get paid.

Yea......I have less than a week until I leave for basic training. So, I'll obviously be gone for a while.
