  1. since it is an amorphous solid, it will "flow" down VERY slowly. that is why old windows make things look wavy.

  3. a quick google gives me: http://www.planetbiodiesel.com/ http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel_make.html http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biodiesel

i think i am starting to get it. so, if i need a scalar, i use dot, and if i need a perpendicular vector, i use cross?
  5. i am on a commitee to convert our school to biodiesel(more specifically, a council of teachers and students trying to convince the school board). our first meeting is wednesday and i know almost nothing about biodiesel. so far, i know: made from soybean oil cheaper than traditional diesel renewable, so it will stay cheaper no need to do anything to your automobile that runs on diesel we are going to make some as well. it won't be pure enough to use in a truck, though. since the prices of fossil fuels rise, won't that cause the price of goods that are shipped by truck to rise? if so, biodiesel could help fix that, i think. anyone know anything about biodiesel?
  6. i've yet to hear of this real ID science. can you post some links?
  7. which one are you?

so, [math]\vec{F}={\vec{B}}q{\vec{v}}[/math] is that actual multiplication, dot, or cross? edit:force, magnetic field, and velocity of the charge are all orthogonal, so it would be a cross product, right?
  9. the vast majority of people that are in a confrontation with a bear. how many people are kept in jail? what's your point?
  10. when doing physics, remember that it isn't just putting in numbers into a formula. it is about problem solving. sometimes you just have to think about the problem. keep at it. Arbeit macht frei!
  11. your argument is flawed because you are bassing it all on one feature when we are substandard on the rest.
  12. what part of the snake(besides the head) isn't tail?
  13. we have to make such technology because we are genetically weak.

what is a dot product between a vector and itself? edit: you answered while i was posting. i missed the unit vector part. t=x.n

can you show how you did that? dot product=0, but where is teh dot product at? i get zero

    vectors

i've never seen a way to divide vectors, so i don't know how. if i treat everything like variables, then t=(x-m)/n

i just want to know why use dot product? why use cross product?

so, just use dot if there is a dot and cross if there is an x and don't worry about it?
  20. for start, less gravity. different nutrients in the soil(unless you bring some from earth).......

so, if you just need to multiply vectors use cross product?

so, projection is the part of a vector(like splitting into x and y) in the direction of another? when doing physics problems, we often use Fcos(theta) to find the force in the x direction. this is a projection of F on the x-axis, right?
  23. see post #7
