  1. How many relevant threads do we have? At what rate do we produce such threads and/or reply to such threads? Is this enough relevant traffic to warrant a dedicated forum?
  2. Perhaps you could check out this thread.
  3. IIRC, TBoE says that demons are the children of Lilith(Adam's first wife).
  4. Xeno's "paradox" was defeated back in the days of Aristotle. It ignores, well, everything about motion. As the distance decreases, the time need to traverse said distance, given a constant speed, also decreases. It also ignores the mechanics of walking-the gait is more or less constant rather than decreasing by half with each step. Xeno also didn't know about calculus.
  5. It's probably a carryover from the polytheistic religions.
  6. A dead sheep.
  7. So, you, a Christian, are telling me that the Bible doesn't talk about Jesus walking the earth for 40 days? And you're saying this right after Easter? o.O There's no indication from the texts that you come out of Hell. Even if it's only a billion years of torture, it still doesn't add up. Let's say my friends owe you a quadrillion dollars(look at you, balla), but I owe you nothing. I then offer to pay their debt by giving you 12 cents. Do you offer that as complete payment? Do you then freely give my friends a hundred times what they owe you?
  8. Silly me. I must have imagined the part where he was walking around hanging out with his home boys after he "died" for over a month until he decided to teleport home. Let's see: the punishment for one person's finite amount of sin is infinite. Jesus paid an incredibly small finite price (a shitty weekend vice eternal torture in a lake of fire). Yeah, that doesn't even cover one person.
  9. Wrong right off the bat. Why should we keep reading if your foundation for your entire argument is incorrect?
  10. It wasn't really that much of a sacrifice as he didn't really "die"; He was alive and walking the earth for over a month after he "died". And that "sacrifice" doesn't even come close to paying of one person's sins let alone the sins of everyone.
  11. Hmm....I didn't quite get the analogy right, since it only covers one person; the penalty was for all people, so the stubbed toe needs to pardon and pay trillions of people. Yeah, I don't see this checkbook balancing.

    Yay Paganism!

English may not be your first language, but there is a world of difference between implied and inferred. How so? You've yet to do anything but make unsubstantiated accusations. edit: I might add that by your accusation that reclaiming a holiday for the goddess for whom it is even named is unjustified, it is YOU that are bashing the pagans.
  13. Ugh, I got a Kindle for my birthday and it is awesome. But now I found a free game on it, so I'll never read another page

o.O Oh, the humanity! A thread on Easter on Easter! Someone think of the children!

Not quite. Where was any group of people or person slurred? That's right, they weren't.

That one's a pagan festival too
  18. Indeed. The price doesn't seem to be paid in full at all; He didn't even cover the tax. The consequence for your finite sin is infinite torture. The price he paid was a day of torture followed by "death." And by "death" I mean he was alive chillin on Earth a few days later until he got bored and beamed himself up to the sky daddy after 40 days. Let's put this in perspective of the ever overused courtroom metaphor. For our purposes here, we'll go ahead and assume that it's legitimate for one person to take another's sentence. You run a red light and get sentenced to a double life sentence with no possibility of parole. The judge then tells you that he had his son stub his toe and if you believe this happened (despite there being no hard evidence or even eyewitness testimony) and accept the offer, then not only do you get off the hook, but the judge gives you one hundred trillion dollars. What kind of just court system is that?

Nice list of nouns, there. This is a thread about a holiday. Nice try, though.

Yeah, I give my grandparents one church attendance a year. They choose veterans day for some reason. I'm gonna go out for lunch and maybe dinner with my stepdad today, though. That's kind of hard when the texts can't even agree on the year, but that's a conversation for another thread in another subforum.
  23. Have a nice celebration of the pagan fertility goddess Eostre!

    Neutrons

Neutrons are released in fission reactions as well, and you're going to Hell for the old-trons joke.
  25. Since "bible" means "book", I guess I do feel that it's good to have bibles-lots of them. Knowledge is power, yo.
