  1. Eating breakfast probably boosts your metabolism. I think the routine of having meals together is probably good for children. And a routine is also probably beneficial to one's body. Why it's dinner and not poker? Probably just tradition?
  2. That's a little contradictory. I don't know why you got +4 for that. Of course it matters. Please look up what an appeal to authority is and then tell me that's not precisely how this forum works.
  3. Skill set? As in calling someone a fuckwit? So you condone iNow's personal attacks?
  4. Saying someone has an IQ of 12, or calling them a fuckwit is a personal attack. That would absolutely never fly in a professional setting.
  5. and who are you to regard michel as a layman? what is your field of expertise? I wasnt asking you. I already know what to expect from you.
  6. I wasn't aware that he was personally attacking you, John, when he said "how old are you kids?" But anyway, you don't know who you're making fun of, saying they have an IQ of 12. It's hard to remember when you're accustomed to the anonymity of a forum and the bleakness of the pixels... but there's an actual PERSON behind these posts, believe it or not.
  7. You have two options. 1. The Morgellon's awareness group is advertising. 2. Someone is obviously fucking with you. Placing a cryptic quote that implies there is a "problem" on the back of a very mysterious microscopic-looking photo is going to catch anyone's attention.
  8. Would you speak like that to any human in real life?
  9. Thanks for the response DrRocket. So to add a 3D object here, and it's "history", another space coordinate would have to be added... and so on...
  10. You must work for Raytheon, sir
  11. I'm sure that we're gonna see drastic changes to the food available to us in the coming years. I'd like to see the cupcakes, ice cream, and potato chips but done without the preservatives and made with 100% organic ingredients. We can keep the junk food, just tax the poisonous versions. That would be a good start. And to all of the people claiming that healthier, home-made food is more expensive than a dinner at McDonalds- do you leave your house? Have you ever been to a grocery store? For example, today I passed by a Friendly's (didn't know we even had those here) and it was a special of 9.99 for an entree, a dessert and a drink. Now compare that to the price of a whole cabbage, chicken breast and a couple cups of brown rice. That would be under 5$ and would feed a family.
  12. I don't see a chief with a headdress. It's probably a quarry, as others have suggested. If it were an archaeological site it would surely be blocked off and recorded as such. On top of that, there's no chance it hasn't been discovered (if it's not modern) because there are clearly roadways leading to it.
  13. Thanks, ajb.
  14. Nazca type lines in the western US? One search on google gave me this for example; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blythe_Intaglios You may think what you're looking at is Sumerian, but how detailed are the majority of geoglyphs in the first place? Perhaps it's native american, or a modern re-make? Not to rain on your parade, but I would think the chance of you finding an undiscovered geoglyph in the states is close to zero.
  15. If I were you I would see a doctor. Especially if you've had these symptoms for a month now. Just my opinion
  16. If the fourth dimension is spacetime, is any 3D object that moves through time, now a 4D object?
  17. Thanks, Phi.
  18. No, I was born here. Only 1/2 communist.
  19. Yeah and my teacher's extremely sarcastic and a bit of a prick so it's perfect. I've taken a liking to him.

  20. Can't tell you, I've never been in a relationship/had a valentine. But I think a hand made card would be nicer than any of those options, and it doesn't cost anything. You should write your wife a poem. Or these because they're awesome; http://theawesomer.com/chocolate-solar-system/147603/
  21. just precalc, im doing a program in the fall that automatically transfers into uconn and you can only start it with like 16 credits or less for some reason. now im at the max. but its fine because i am working full time anyway and wouldnt be able to schedule in the normal course load. so i might as well get myself ready for calculus seeing as how my brain has turned to mush in the past two years

  22. I do crap like that all the time.. Yesterday we reviewed writing equations for ellipses and to remember b^2=a^2-c^2 I think of Bacchus, or the god of wine and disorder, so I know how a b & c relate and also it's a minus because Bacchus has a negative connotation. Screw understanding the underlying reasoning behind it. Lazy student ftw. Hyperbolas are same thing but b c a, so even though it's embarrassing to have to do things like that, oh well... It saves me time
  23. Oh goodness! I'm in a "green" apartment. At first, the shower felt like a trickling faucet but I'm used to it now. And my utilities are less.
  24. Ah. Would a nozzle alone be able to do that? I thought shower heads are more cosmetic, they just change the way the water is distributed but don't actually change the pressure or anything.
  25. In order to have mist, wouldn't you also need to decrease the water pressure? I have no idea how plumbing works.
