Today, when I was checking my email inbox, I received an email from xxxxx@...com. I clicked on it and the email contained a file. xxxx.pif. I know it probably is an inflected file, I was too mischievous and used the yahoo to scan it. The fact is.... it is an inflected file. Does the yahoo have a very strong virus detector, even better than ours?

I am no idea on why water molecules are not being tore away. Maybe they do, but the rate is not as much as the decomposition of salt. By the way, do the motions of charged particles bring the electric shield move and thus electricity is generated? I haven't studied about the electricity and I have not learnt it. I just know charge particles generates electricity. Anyone helps?

I was misleaded. I think I was correct. The strongest part is with a lone pair for each molecule. -
Actually, solution is a mixture. Compound has two or more element joined chemically together. I am going to talk about it. When you boil the solution, salt is found and steam goes away. Hence, you know no new substance is formed during the dissolving process. Water molecules attract ions which are hold by strong ionic bond together in the solid. Several water molecules are enough to overcome the attraction. The ions then leave the solid and go into water. If we ignore the water dissociation, Water molecules contain some ions. For the presence of precipitate, it depends on the solubility of the solute. It's not correct to think of the electrical conductivity due to mobile electrons in this case. The solution conducts electrivity due to the movement of mobile ions. Electrical conductivity of solution of a substance depends on the Mobile charged particles. By the way, are all precipitates white in colour?

IF we want to distillate some mixtures to get pure water, do we need to remove the liquid collected in the distilled flask first at 99 degree? By the way, solute affects the boiling point of water , so what can be done?

Yes. My "only" means the degree of attraction since I stated the electronegativity after both atoms.lol:P I am wrong of telling the number of lone pair. I am not very familiar with those chapters which haven't been taught by my teacher. -
How did Newton have his interests in these engineering?

I read a book about Numerical Methods and I found that it is very interesting. Why does numerical method always be taught with engineering? I think it is quite useful in normal life.

Study the geometry of molecules, study the shape. Have a look on it. electronegativity is the measure of atom only. It is proportionaly to Ionization energy. In other words, it is indeed a measure of atom. NH3 and H2O, every part of the molecule have different attraction to charged particles. Maybe the attractive forces of the strongest attractive part of H2O is stronger than that of NH3 since that part of H2O has a lone pair + an oxygen atom (3.5) But NH3 only has a lone pair + a nitrogen atom(3.0) -
Why do hydrogen chloride dissolve in water gives the ionization of hydrogen ion? And then why does the ion combine with water molecule to ionize to form hydronium ion? What's the difference between oxidation-reduction reaction and displacement reaction?

Hydronium ion H3O+ is an ion. But I don't know whether H3O is in reality or not. Like there is no sulpur oxide but has sulphur dioxide. Not oxygen has a partial positive but a partial negative. Hydrogen atom has a partial positive charge. IT is that the water molecule do. One WatER molecule attract the other one as they are polar molecule , so the attraction is not small ( but not very large). So hydronium ion and hydroxide ion form but the composition is not very high. They are bonded due to a force. This force is a electrostatic force which is attraction between oppositely charged ,i.e. particles electrons and proton(nucleus). Carbon dioxide is a non-polar molecule while water molecule is a polar molecule. That means the "distances" of the pair between one atom and the other one are not equivalent at a particular time. [ Actually, electron is always not equivalent since they have different position which is contradict the fixed shell position, but the chance of pair in a polar molecule staying closer to higher attractive atom is higher. The attractive forces of the outermost shell electron and potassium nucleus are too small, in contrast to the strong attractive forces from the oxygen nucleus. Potassium atom then lose its outermost electron. Metal tends to lose electron to obtain stable octet(state). Electronegativity----a measure of tendency of the attractive forces from the nucleus of an atom. There are lots of stuff from the internet where you can get. Regarding to my little knowledge in chemistry, I have no idea. There are lots of professionals in this site who can help you. I enjoyed giving my time on helping you. -

Stability is determined by the bond, shape , region of charge of molecules or formula unit. Covalent bond is very similar to ionic bonding, you may recongnise that in a water molecule, the oxygen molecules and one hydrogen atom share one pair. However, that pair is more close to the oxygen atom. In potassium oxide, the outermost shell electron of potassium is attracted by the oxygen atom. IT is not share. Hence, the nature of bond( covalent or ionic ) is determined of the attraction of the difference of two atoms,i.e. electronegativity.Personally, I enjoy the defintion of difference greater than 1.7 involve an ionic bond Fluorine has 4.0 which is the highest, second is oxygen 3.5 , while metals usually have that lower than 2.0. -
Plant likes to get more nitrogen for their growth, like making the protein. Therefore, it needs to absorb the nitrogen essentially by itself. It obtain it from ammonia but not gas form. It's because nitrogen has a very strong bonding and large amount of energy is required to split it.
