I have a very bad feeling it's been paging quite a lot lately... I should probably check it out once I'm done cleaning this god-damned virus off the computer I'm using. I'll check by running one of my games that lags, and then opening taskmngr and seeing what's going on.

A Theory on The Information Paradox and Allow Multi-Universal Travel

Harsh, but fair. -
I'm not much of a power user, and the point of the computer I use now was that it was a really good deal, and very upgradeable. So that's really why I got it. The need to upgrade only started now, when the games I want to play, and software I need to use require more and more RAM. I've already upgraded graphics, it's either RAM or CPU next.

yes...quite... I was actually thinking about the possibility of white holes the day I found out about them (iirc, a long time ago). I was reading about black holes, and considered briefly the exact opposite of a black hole...then the next chapter was about white holes...

Is it the tangential movements of the stars that keeps the whole galaxy from getting pulled in? Or is it just a slow process?

I'm currently going through Public School, and while I've never had a suspension (I have had a few detentions, all given by the art teacher after breaking a ruler during a 'durability test'), I do know lots of people who've gotten suspensions, and usually that works. Well, it worked for a friend (dark matter), though there are those trouble-makers in our school that continue their tomfoolery almost minutes after getting out of suspension. In our school they employ the 'ISS' idea; rather than sending a student home, they sit in a little white room all day! Obviously not as good as spending a swell day out of school playing Half-Life 2.

Ah, the gold watchband. Mine is just a faded black, so as not to attract attention, though as I wrote before, I used to have silver, but metals conduct heat a little too well for a metal band to be comfortable.

Really, I think drugs and violence are the only things that ratings should be based on. Kids are exposed to enough of everything else already for it to not make any difference at all.

That's rather odd...a sort of similiar thing used to happen to me a while ago with a different game, it helped to ctr alt dlt when ever I heard the IM sound, so I could control the minimizing. Although I smarted up eventually and stopped using IM entirely...what a stupid program.

I decided to get a Ati Radeon x1650, it's fine for what I'm trying to do. I am thinking however, of upgrading my RAM to 1gb (currently I have a rather sad 512 mb). Can anyone give suggestions on this? My friend says I should either stick with what I have, or make the jump to 2 gb, is he right?

Right, it's all proportional to the time period, but what I'm saying is that IMHO, the IQ isn't proportional to our time period...it's rather low. And you'd be surprised how many 'illiterate' children there are in my grade...it's quite depressing. You do bring up a very good point, it's difficult to compare, it's like comparing Beethoven and Duke Ellington (I don't care what they say: ellington>beethoven)

That was...rather harsh... I used to wear an analogue watch with a metal band, but in the mornings when I would get up at 6:15, and put it on it would be really cold and uncomfortable, rather than the fabric watchband I use with my digital now. Also, it's easier to adjust, and since I'm growing I don't have to visit the jewelery store every other day to get it adjusted.

Origins of cooking foods...

Or maybe they felt the rather unpleasant taste of eating semi-frozen deer meat, and made the correlation between 'warm fire' and 'cold flesh'... -
I don't think so. The ratio of 'intelligent' people in my school to 'not-so-intelligent' people is around 1:8 I'm basing this off of four classes. I know this isn't what you're calling 'the long haul', but I really do think that we're doing something wrong, and as much as I love computers and the outrageous amount of time I spend on them every day, I think they're part of the problem.

Won't defragging just fix whatever it was that got messed up when you manually shut down?

I'm not entirely sure why anyone would really want Vista, yes, I know, it's the latest piece of eye-candy to be released by the Microsoft monolith, but it's really just the new Mac OS. It's aesthetically appealing and easy to use, but other than that it's no good. XP is at least slightly reliable, not to mention more efficient, practical, and familiar. Forgot to mention the toll Vista takes on your RAM...quite disturbing...

So you can have one conveniently located time source that you know you can trust. That is, if you set it with the 'US Official Time' every two weeks just in case...

Is that all you can come up with?

Personally I don't think that gambling should even be relevant. Kids gamble at very early ages. I was playing gambling for comics in the third grade, and I'm not...that...messed up....

Uh...that's suspiciously similar to the Half-Life 2 console...

How'd you know when I had my first science exam?!?!

Once again, I used to have a watch like that; digital-analogue hybrid. It got too scratched up for me to use it, so now I use my Timex digital, recommended by my science teacher.
