Simply out of common sense i would have to say NO.

thnx for the reply.........wats pubmed ?

I am doing my grad with a major in computer sciences, does anyone know if computational chemistry is an area into which it is possible to do research........I have found chemistry to be the most fascinating of all sciences hence the interest in this particular field.
-
That is probably the hardest thing to ascertain ! Different people will think differently about when exactly it is "viable".
-
It has to tie down all four types of forces with each other, not classical with quantum mechanical.

Given their size these things are roughly between 500 to 1500 atoms wide. Is it possible for such a small (numerically speaking) and simple (structurally speaking) for to exsist life ? Plus with such few number of atoms involved, you cannot even think of super complex molecules such as RNA, isn't that completely out of the equation ?

About the purpose of object casting.........

I am sorry but I've not touched java for the last 3 months and its kinda difficult to fish thru the many files i've made earlier, i'll still try and fish out a more obvious example from somewhere (probably sans java code, i have to re-learn java....) -
because of this weird system in fish and corals generally around mating season oceans fill up with excess sperm (especially when corals do it). That would certainly be really weird if replicated.

I'd like to add a little footnote ........ A car is not an ideal faraday cage because theoretically a farday cage is a metallic closed surface. The car is not completely metallic. What probably saves you from lightening is well explained by YT. Another point there is that sitting in the car you can't possibly complete an electric circuit(given that you do not try to attain some very weird positions inside the car whereby you manage to ground a part of your body) and hence no shock is possible. The bottom line is that [MATH]\bigtriangledown . \vec{E} = 0[/MATH] which means no electric field inside cage, hence no induced magnetic field either and so no EM waves.

Analyzing step by step .......... Firstly the equation for dissoultion of [MATH]Na_2CO_3[/MATH] is certainly correct as it will produce [MATH]NaOH[/MATH] and [MATH]CO_2[/MATH]. Look at this reaction as the hydrolysis of [MATH]Na_2CO_3[/MATH], i.e., [MATH]Na_2CO_3 + H_2O \longrightarrow NaOH + H_2CO_3[/MATH] When you now add [MATH]BaCl_2[/MATH] , being a highly reactive reagent it will most definately precipitate out [MATH]BaCO_3[/MATH] . Now, look at it like this [MATH]CO_2[/MATH] has in essence come from the solution of [MATH]H_2CO_3[/MATH] present already. The removal of [MATH]CO_2[/MATH] will lead to free [MATH]H^{+}[/MATH] attacking the [MATH]Cl^{-}[/MATH] ions, henece HCl will form. The excess of alkali present as [MATH]NaOH[/MATH] will impart the pink colour because of phenolphthaleine. It is a very nicely thought of and an absolutely correct qualitative analysis. The two critical points are initial dissolution of bicarbonate and addition of barium chloride only later, and also the presence of excess strong alkali in form of [MATH]NaOH[/MATH]

Families for obvious reasons would be larger in size, but fewer in number....... a lot less housing perhaps but bigger houses for all.

Faraday cage implies no electric field inside implies no EM wave can exsist. Are Tesla Coins loops made of magnetic materials (which shield from magnetic fields) ?
-
Yes of course.

I tried searching on the net (i was looking for the human ones), all i ever ended up with traced human evolution at best from the primate stage forwards......could not find anything beggining at a uni-cellular organism

Weight is defined as force with which earth pulls an object towards it, so yes it does have weight. Technically, weight is measured in Newtons. We express it in Kgs, it is acctualy not Kilograms but KilogramWieght (the unit).x Kilogramweight meaning x * 9.8 newtons.Maybe that would make the concept of weight clearer. Remember wight is a force and not a mass. Any normal force with air is neglected for 2 reasons :- 1) It is inconsequentially small 2)It acts on all four sides and cancels itself out

If I find ne charts etc. I'll forward them

Ah ! Faradya cage : Simple and highly efficient........ physics at its best !

I wonder what reproduction would be like ? The chances of 3 people mutually liking each are one-third that of just the 2 hitting it off together. A lot less population maybe.....that may be nice.

I don't know about you , but when I did calculus I did a lot of curve tracing (drawing graphs) and that too for loads of weird functions, For eg, stuff with loops in the graphs and all sorts of weird logarithmic functions. I personally feel that it helps a lot in learning and definately in problem solving, plus you always have books to check simple graphs like [MATH]f(x)=\cos(x)[/MATH]

When you are looking for an evolutionary chart, shouldn't you be searching for a particular creature's ?

Do not get confused. Analyse the man when he is not in contact with the cieling yet, but he has left the floor. The only force acting on him is the grvity of Earth, i.e., mg so he is acctualy falling down with acc g (slower than the lifts, which is why he hits the cieling) for some observer on Earth. Why I ask about your knowledge of frames of refrence is because all this stuff about apparent weight comes into picture if you analyse the problem with respect to the lift. It is easier to understand with respect to lift if you know what pseudo forces are (The formula you mentioned rite in the beginning then just becomes obvious). If you are still confused, forget about all the apparent weight stuff, just look at the problem as if you are observing the guy while sitting on the ground. The ONLY force on him in that case is mg, hence the acc of g. About the car thing, its the same concept in a diffrent orientation. When there is no acceleration, there is no force, When it accelerates forward lets say, you feel a backward push (exactly like the lift, when it falls down with an acceleration, you feel an upward push and vice versa)

About the purpose of object casting.........
pulkit replied to albertlee's topic in Computer Science
This is one situation where I had to use it : I defined a generic "number" class and then inherted several types from that such as integer, complex, co-ordinate etc. All the numbers were stored as lists (to allow 100 digit numbers and so), next the simple functions like addition and subtraction were written generically for the number class. When I neede to add say complex numbers, I'd first use the generic addition on real and then on imaginary part, in both cases object casting is required from complex to number............. Another example is when you try to make a simulation.....the various objects in the simulation may often need tobe type casted into each other, or into a generic type. -
Hence proved : The exsistance of the mad scientist of modern times.

When a>g, it is the list that would be falling with this acceleration. As the man has no physical link with the lift, he will not fall with the same acceleration, he would feel literally as if the floor has been pulled away from his feet, and as you can very well imagine in such a case, he will fall only with an accleration g. Remember that gravity is the only force acting on him in the refrence frame of the Earth, so he can't go any faster than g. It is only once his head hits the cieling that the lift starts to exhert on him a fore and then forces him to fall with accleration greter then a. In the intermediate period of leaving floor and reaching cieling, to an observer on the ground it will appear as if he is falling down with an acceleration of g. Do you know about frames of refrence and more importantly about pseudo forces ?

When you talk of a unified theory it means that using this theroy, you have basically one or a small set of all important equations that can link up all physical phenomena. Currently there are we divide nature into 4 types of forces, i.e., gravitational electromagnetic strong and weak. This classification is due to the way we understand physics today, it has these four major channels that are not inter related. A unifiel field theory would inter relate all 4 of these forces. That would mean we would now understand nature in a unified manner, not as 4 mutually exclusive channels. And till now, I do not believe this has been achieved.
