  1. Not if you have money, celebrity or political power.
  2. This is all I've heard on talk radio for years. Rush Limbaugh made a career out of this complaint. At least you can see and hear them. The lobbyists in the background are the ones to be concerned about.
  3. Yes the news media, hollywood and all teachers are left wing nuts. That's why everyone in the US is a democrat and Republicans can't win an election. Yep.

    Fixing Iraq

Al Queda could cease to exist and it wouldn't make a difference in Iraq. WE should concentrate on them because that is OUR enemy. You have Shiite, Sunni and the Kurds. Shiite and Sunni are both fighting us currently. They will eventually fight each other and the Kurds, they will probably try to break away from Iraq completely. So, as we did in Iran and other places, we will put in a Puppet and support him. It will be a "democracy" instead of a dictator, but he will need to be very strong - no Dan Rather running around talking about him - can't have that. Can't have any opposition. Then we will wonder what happened when the clerics take over.
  5. What if the attack is in response to a terrorist? Not saying this was the case, but how do you punish a terrorist? Saddam and Iraq needed to submit to resolutions and they did not. He bluffed and was called. An expensive bluff for both sides. Bush rushed to action and strayed off course, but to call him a terrorist is off base. The people celebrated remember?

    Fixing Iraq

Maybe, but Hamas is a terrorist organization and hurting the Palestinian cause. The PLO needs to condem all terrorism and try the route of peaceful demonstration. If they would do this, they would get so much support. They also need to drop the "no Israel" idea. Fix Iraq? Have Iraq people vote on who they want to govern them. Give that person a strong military and get out. Tell the leader to get things in shape and if we see a problem we will be back! We could invade Iraq 10 times cheaper and easier than to occupy and rebuild it. How's that for "bleeding heart liberalism?"

Some of the problem is the question. For example, I voted yes, but I think it should be very limited and if the country didn't already have this right, I would be against it. Same with cigarettes.
  8. To be fair, we had a history with Saddam. He was supposed to comply with UN resolutions he had agreed to after the first butt-kicking. He wouldn't comply fully. I think Bush rushed troops there too quickly and once they were there, he felt he had to proceed. I understand faulty intelligence leading to belief in WMD's. But I don't understand the immediate threat. This stuff was already in the plans since Clinton and the momentum was on our side at the time. If Bush wins, he won't have to worry about re-election. I hope he doesn't try to expand the war to the next "evil empire"
  9. According to Bush HE NEVER ASKED HIS DAD about invading Iraq. He referred to "higher" father. So God told him to do it? I guess the US owns the rights to "fire and brimestone" these days.

    Guns

I don't care if you use a seatbelt. I don't care if you do drugs. I don't care if you use prostitutes. I don't care if you buy certain weapons. Maybe you don't think anything should be banned. I think some drugs, weapons and chemicals should be banned. I understand opinions can vary as to any or which should be banned. I happen to see very little need for weapons, except to defend yourself from people with weapons. A small handgun is good enough. Alcohol is enough, smoking - well too many addicts now.
  11. Also, seeing the spilled drinks in space form spherical bubbles are an example. No rotation required. If I understand correctly, a planet forms in a sphere for the same reason we are stuck on this planet. Gravity pulls us towards the center, so when it was a liquid or semi-liquid, all matter was pulled toward the center somewhat evenly.
  12. Sex is as primitive as eating and drinking. I would think all areas of the brain are involved. This is vital to survival. Just as we can control the quality and quantity of eating and drinking, we can control the sex drive. We all do it everyday. (Control, not sex ha ha)

  14. I would suggest seat belts and less knobs. Sorry, just had to say that!
  15. They should be able to easily get college test subjects! Speaking from the male perspective, Touch is best, visual second, hearing third... language is turned off(after Foreplay)! Since sex occurs in the brain, imagination is important. The more imagination a person has the more they can make the images or whatever they need from the written word. Imagination is good, but reality is better.
  16. This is a good question. I think you would be more likely to be hit assuming nothing taller around either area in the water, since it would conduct electricity more than the ground. Salt water even more so. But, if you were hit, I think being on the ground would be worse. Either way would not be good.
  17. I think in the first post she said that she did. My grandmother also was infected. Pneumonia is another problem. It is complicated by the fact that many of the patients have little resistance to infections, so they can catch anything quickly. I think they should do more to prevent the infections, much cheaper that way, not to mention better for everyone involved.
  18. At the speed of light, time doesn't exist. But then again, do the other dimensions exist at the speed of light?
  19. Yes, we have a graduated income tax rate. Reagan flattened it somewhat and there are always arguments as to what is "fair" or "best". Some people argue for a flat tax - even a sales tax, which would hit the poor and middle class terribly. The arguement is for simplicity, but a graduated tax isn't complicated. Taxes are pretty simple, until you become wealthy, then you need to apply for all the loopholes to avoid paying tax. Best thing is to eliminate the loopholes.
  20. Yes, it is all pretty stupid, but in a land where reality TV rules and celebrities are looked upon as experts, well you need something quick and easy to understand. With the voting system we have now, there should be only two candidates in the final election. Nader should not be allowed to run. He can't even win a state.

There should be a huge tax added to every gun sale to pay to all survivors of gun violence.
  22. Yes let's quit complaining. Bush screwed up and now Iraq is our problem. So, we should fire him and elect Kerry. We will still be there and will finish the job, but maybe more quickly. Interesting that Bush now has learned not to listen to intelligence reports. They are telling him things in Iraq look bleak. Nah, they were correct about WMD's but wrong about this.
