I know that imaginary numbers are numbers that are based on [math]i[/math] [math]\sqrt{-1}[/math], but why are they imaginary. Why can't there be [math]\sqrt{-n}[/math]? Why can't you have a product a negative number, yet you can have a sum?

Well, gravity would cause the object to moove, creating heat. So, I guess, it can, yet it can't. The second the gravity effects the object, it would no longer be at absolute zero.

So, the notes D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D, E, F can continue on forever (if I understand you correctly). And what about flats and sharps? what are those, ½ a note?

I think the smallest particle would be the superstring. I think you're wrong, I believe that elementery particles have a highth, and possibly a width (if I understan A Brief History of Time correctly).

I wasn't sure which catagory this should go under, so I just put it here. I was playing the violin and these question just popped into my head: 1.) What does the Pythagorean tetraktys (I think that's what it's called, something like that) have to do with music. What does 1+2+3+4 have to do with music? 2.) I know that on treble cleft, the note A is at 440Hz (or is it MHz?), but what are the other notes at? 3.) Pitch is cuase by the waves frequency, but what is loudness caused by? 4.) How does where I put my fingers on the strings effect how high or low the pitch is?

I was taking a special class in school, and the teacher started talking about HIV and AIDS. She said it was because the HIV virus enters the body and destroys all of the Helper-T cells. With these gone, the body has nothing to defend itself against simple viruses and bacteria, such as the common cold (which would develope into pnamonea, which is deadly). This becomes AIDS. When she said that, I may have thought of a way to cure AIDS, but the treatment would have to be done over and over again (such as every few years). The idea lies in stem cells. If we take bunch of stem cells and have them take the form of Helper-T cells, then we've temporarily cured AIDS. Unfortunatly, who's to say the HIV won't destroy the Helper-T cells again, in which case the treatment would have to be done every few years or so (once symptoms start occuring). Would this work?

Intelligence and smartness (if that's even a word) arn't the same thing. Since dogs mature seven times faster than we do, then it's only natrual that at a certain time, the dog's IQ would be 7x what a baby of the same age has. Obviously we surpass them eventually, but for that time, they are more intelligent than us. (oh, and this thread goes for almost any animal, not just dogs)

Okay, you're right, until a certain age, dogs learn and mature faster than us, making them more intelligent than us (until about 1, depending on the dog).

Are dogs smarter than humans? Let's assume that you buy a brand new puppy. Within a month (if you're good), you can have that puppy listening to and understanding simple commands, such as "sit" and "come here". But with a human child, who's aproximatly a year old, they still can't understand basic commands. If you tell him/her to walk over here (if they're able to walk yet), they just sit there and stare at you, while a dog would walk over there (usually, assuming you trained it right). It's obvious that puppies are smarter than babies. But adults on the other hand, are (we think) smarter than adult dogs.

Could somebody explain to me how to use the Command Prompt on Microsoft® Windows® Office XP. Or a better question, what language does it use?

Not really, but I can use some more internet based languages such as HTML, and using computers to do those kinds of things are what I enjoy.

I would like to learn it. The reason is that my webpages aren't very good compared to most sites. Like, if you look at this site, it's obviously not done in just HTML, but some other languages, like Javascript. But then there's others that obviousley don't use any simple language like Javascript, HTML, XHTML, or anything as such.

I don't know, these kinds of things are just a sort of hobby of mine.

What is the cause of gravity. I know that it's caused by bent space-tme, but, every model we have shows space-time as a 2-D surface. If this is correct, then every boddy in the universe would be roughly the same highth, and (using the earth as an example, and assuming that the earth doesn't tilt) how could a north pole exist, if neither space nor time would exist there (although, on the geographical north pole, I'm not sure how you could set your watch [laghs]). So the innacuracy of this model is very clear, but I'm not sure how space-time could be bent any other way.
