EARTHQUAKE DISASTERPREVENTIVE ACTION – E-DPA Author: Hemanth SUMMARY: Accordingto the present World Scenario, There were nearly about 1775000 earthquakes andTsunami around the world last 155 Years. Because of this disaster, Loss inmillions of life and destruction in Billions of properties to mankind.Preventing natural Disaster like Earthquake and Tsunami is Quiet harder butcould be made Simpler by introducing the Earthquake - Disaster Preventive Action(E-DPA) in preventing out the Disaster and bringing a pleasant life to theearth and human mankind. Irecently researched the present Earthquake and Tsunami Preventive Techniques,and found that we use monitors, seismographic networks only to get alerted, butnot prevention. So IDeveloped E-DPA, for the Disaster to be prevented and could be got alerted bythe present seismographic networks. By this E-DPA nearly 90% of earthquakes andTsunamis can be Prevented and safeguard our earth from Natural Disasters. ABOUT ME: Hi,this is Hemanth, interested a lot in Inventions and Discoveries. I am mostinterested to subjects like software, space, Science, History, Archaeology andGeology almost all fields. At the age of 13 I was a certified professional inCBT Technology, Internet & Web Technology, I work Graphic Designing and Ilearnt many computer languages like HTML, ASP, XML, VB script, etc... So I decided to put all my efforts to join one of my hands toprevent these Disasters. So this was the reason which made me join Googlescience fair 2011 too. I am a full time High school Juniorcompleted at present. Pursuing my High school senior year and would begraduated from High school in 2012. I would like to pursue my higher educationin Aerospace Engineering with Information Technology, starting on my researchas earlier. And thereby pursuing Masters in Astrophysics is my intended goalfurther, and help this mankind and earth by some ways. I know I would achieveit and my ideas would help this Universe someday. QUESTION: How can we prevent one of the earth's most DestructingDisaster and provide Sustained Healthy life to the earth and Mankind by thePresent updating science and Technology? Nothing is Impossible in this Scientific andtechnological World. Everything is Possible if we think. I developed my Disaster Preventive Action, for thesafeguard of our earth and humans. This process is a simpler Technique to makeour ill earth Healthier. The process stays as follows: CAUSE: The real cause for the earthquake is the change inplate tectonics caused by convection currents. The convection current is mainlycaused by the expansion of gases, liquid present inside, which is the maincause for the shake in earth. So it's our duty to help our earth to bring outthe inner gases outside, once if the gases are out the pressure inside theearth is automatically released, so the magma in the outer core stays cool formuch longer time, without producing any Earthquakes. STEP 1: Choosing one of the Higher Land in earth, where Earthquakes are less (e.g. Africa) Drilling A hole deep inside the earth up to 1100 km reaching the mid upper mantle. STEP 2: Releasing out the Earths Inner gases out to the earths surface. Reducing the pressure inside the Earth. Purifying gases at the surface without releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere. STEP 3: Using the Purified Gases for Commercial and Natural Purposes. Using the magma flow for pure metal. "This above Process seems highly impossible but it'sPossible by Disaster preventive Action." HYPOTHESIS: Itssimple, it's known that if the Gaseous pressure inside our stomach is high, wefeel uneasy until we release out the gas. We ought for bloating to come so as thoseminimum amounts of gases are released slowly. Once the gas is out we feelrelieved and our stomach stays calm and steady. Similarly our earth acts likeour stomach filled with lots of gaseous pressure inside, it releases out thegases in form of volcanic eruption as referred to bloating here. It's a daily life comparison. SUMMARY: Tillnow Million and millions of dollars are spent for the Earthquake ScientificResearches, but couldn't save 50, 07,594 peoples. According to my research, the presentearthquake Technology updating is so far sensing through GPS and MicrowaveTechnology, Using Strong motion Seismology, Rock Mechanism Techniques,Counterweight systems, etc… Nowadaysusing borehole geophysical measurements, USGSscientists determine the temperature, stress, and fluid-pressure conditions atthe depths where earthquakes occur and characterize the mechanical behaviour offault-zone materials at realistic in-situ conditions. Sofar we have taken Steps to Predict the Earthquakes through varioustechnologies, we have taken steps on how to build a strong building byEarthquake Engineering, we have taken steps to ensure ready funds for the lostproperties and food packages after the occurrence of earthquake, but notPREVENTION. Whyisn't there any technology to prevent the Disastrous Earthquake? Why don't weunderstand the Earth's Problem? Even Earth just acts like a human body. Only wehumans are doctors for the earth to relieve its pain inside. The Magma withlots of gases has no way to come out, everything is in compact. Wherever thereis weaker area it bursts up and stays cool for sometime. It indeed searches fora way. Why can't we give them a way? It's possible. Tillnow we have drilled our earth up to 12.3 km, we were not able to move furtherdown to the mantle, Because of the High Temperature and Hydrogen Gas Pressure.The project kola hole is one best example for the attempt to drill down to thecore, but it failed. And Still according to my research, we could move up to alevel of 1100 km (max) deep in earth by the technology in E-DPA. EXPERIMENT: AIM: Our Aim is to Drill our Earth deep inside 1100 km(max), provide a path for the gaseous substances to relieve out and reduce thepressure inside the earth. MATERIALS: Deep EarthDriller: Deep earth driller drill bits must be made of Tungstencarbide, because it has the capacity of maintaining higher temperature andstays harder. Coolant: Water coolant oil is provided along with the driller,so that the temperature can be reduced half of the actual temperature and canmaintain without melting the drill bits. Water Absorbers and Gaseous Absorbers: Water Absorbers are so need to collect the waterparticles, make the place dry. Gaseous absorbers collect the gaseous substanceswhich make high pressure at the area. Cement Liners with steel sheet: Quick Setting Cement Liners are used inside so as thatit can line the drilled surface with cement so as to prevent collapsing. Steel Shell: The steel shell, which is to be sent soon after thecement lining in the drilled hole, is to be made of four layers. Innermost layer – Steel with coating of Anti corrosive material. Inner Layer – Brick lining with Centring Middle layer – Asbestos lining with Anticorrosive material. Outer Layer – Cement lining with steel sheet Gas Purifiers: Corrosive Gas purifiers are used outside on thesurface of the Earth, so that the harmful gases like Hydrogen, Helium, andMethane which are released from the earth can be purified and collectedseparately without sending directly into the atmosphere and cause pollution. Rectangular Long Molds: Rectangular Long molds are used outside nearthe surface of the drilling process, so as for a safety, if the magma pushesout through this tube, it could be collected directly into these molds,for which we can obtain pure form of Magma. PROCEDURE: Set 1: We have three pipes connected parallel Driller,Coolant, Water and gas absorber. When we go deep into the earth, the drill bitmight experience a temperature of about 200-300 degree C. So the coolant mustbe on so as that it reduces the temperature, meanwhile the water absorberabsorbs all the water out and provides way, other side gaseous absorbers alsodo their work by absorbing all gases which are found on the way and reducespressure. Set 2: Parallel to the SET 1 process continues down, Steelshell is sent down along with Quick-set Cement liners fill the setcontinuously. So as that, this would prevent the drilled hole from collapsing. Set 3: Immediately after the SET 2 process continuous downwith a mean difference in distance of 200 ft, Steel shells which are alreadylined by four layers must be sent inside, continuously One by one. Position: The distance of end of the lower mantle from thesurface is 2980 km, which is composed of Magnesium and Silicon compound. Butreaching 1100 km is enough. This can be maintained at a temperature of 1500degree C. Controlling: Controlling the Drill bit by higher end Nanotechnologymaterial sensors, bell automatic weight control system could be aplus. Computerized Tomography and C-scan can be used for measuring. DATA: The following specification isfor the Specified materials, which needs exact dimension, so as that theexperiment could be maintained in equilibrium. Total Diameter of the Hole to be drilled =181.1 cm Total diameter of Outer cement Lining =11.43 cm Total Diameter of Inner Steel Shell =26.67 cm Inner Steel shell = 8.89 cm Brick Lining Centring = 11.43 cm Outer Cement Lining = 6.35 cm Inner Hollow Hole Diameter = 143 cm Gas absorber = 15 cm Coolant = 15 cm Water absorber = 15cm Driller Pipe = 13 cm Gap between each pipe = 17 cm, total distance = 84 cm gap Radius of the Hole = 90.55 cm = 0.9055 m Diameter = 181.1 cm = 1.811 m Depth or height = 1100 km = 1100000 m Total surface Area = 6258371.876 m2 Top surface Area = 2.57589 m2 Bottom Surface Area = 2.57589 m2 Lateral Surface Area = 6258366.725 m2 Volume = 2833475.53484 m3 Mass of the earth = 5.9742 x 1024 Volume of earth = 1.083206 x 1021 Volume of Upper mantle = 5.054 x 1019 Density = 2.7 – 4.5 g/cm3 Distance between Surface and End of Crust= 70 km Distance of Upper mantle = 750 km Distance between upper mantle and End ofLower mantle = 2000 km According to this data, it'sthat the pressure inside the mantle could be approximately 95 Gpa. So as towith stand this pressure, we need to design the gas absorbers in such a way,that it has the capacity to absorb high amount of gases, where the pressurecould be taken out easily in no mean time. This above data gives us aclean outline, of the required project completion basis. This above dimensionscan accurately act with the withstanding pressure and environment. OBSERVATION: The above project E-DPA is alive demonstration project, but from the above valued Description. It could bepossible, to observe for some extent. While drilling deep into hole,we experience heat, by the use of coolant, we can reduce its heat half to itand keep the driller bit safe from melting. And still when we reach upto adistance of 12 km, we experience severe hydrogen gases stopping the driller todrill further. So as that we use the gas absorbers to absorb all those gases,and provide way for it to drill further. By alternate drilling, coolingand gas absorbing, the driller could be drilled easily for a distance of 1100 km.Once we reached our Aim of drilling upto 1100 km, safely. We must make theInner driller bit with nano materials, so as that it would get compact andreach the surface without disturbing the other materials. Once the DPA project is on, wecan find the inner gases tremendously finding way and pushing out to thesurface, by the use of gas purifiers on the surface we can purify the mostharmful gases releasing into the atmosphere and utilising the useful gases formost commercial and natural purposes. Our shell is designed in such away, that even if the magma flows out, it is of no problem to the shell to passthrough. We can directly get the magma flown into the rectangular moulds, whichare beside to the surface, can collect the pure form, without much processing. So as soon the gases releasesout, there would be no much cause for the magma to flow out, because if thegases are once released out, the pressure inside it is automatically reduced,so it takes much more longer time for the magma to burst out. CONCLUSION: And thus my results supportsthis hypothesis, and for solution too. From this experiment we can experiencefew things, this project is merely not a commercial based or achievement basedproject, but a useful mankind project. E-DPA is a lifesaving projectto this world. This is the sole mission to save millions of life and billionsof properties around this world. From this experiment, we have learnt how to preventthe upcoming Earthquakes and Tsunamis. Due to this E-DPA we can have our motherearth calm and safe, without any pressures. We have experienced nearly 1775000earthquakes with loss of 50,07,594 million people so far, all because ofEarthquake, and this is not necessarily made by the nature or its not a cursegiven to us by god, it's just the pain of earth, for which we must make ourearth healthy By this project E-DPA, we canhave thousands and thousands of Jobs for the workers, a good technology trailedcompetition for the rising technologies, need for New Industrial resources,etc… But for this E-DPA to beSuccess, we need huge amount of Funds, which are needed to be discussed in theUnited Nations and taken a decision by acceptance of all nations, because itsnot the problem of a single nation, it's the pain of our earth. We need to joinhands to work for it. "And the trial of keeping ourEarth Healthy is E-DPA" I would like to go on research,review the world's problems and find on solutions and help this world andpeople with my efforts.
