Animal house was great but only third I feel.

This is unlikely, given that a human that seeks out an occupation such as the police, is likely to react to a threat with aggression, not supplication.
-
I agree, as things stand, most people do react badly in such circumstances, however with a little education in how temporary truths affect us all; maybe road rage could be drastically reduced and my dream, realised.

Merging early is easier and far less stressful, educating drivers would further reduce stress, created by those racers that simply must be in front; consequently reducing the effects of sudden/unnecessary braking. So merge early if that’s your bag and later if it’s yours, so everyone’s happy, dream world maybe, but temporary truths affect us all.

Communicating with an alien species.
dimreepr replied to too-open-minded's topic in General Philosophy
In order to communicate you must have some commonality or at least a method to reduce differences, but as Ophiolite suggests there is likely to be nothing at all in common between us and them. However if we make a few assumptions i.e. they need technology to travel through space and have a desire to communicate with us; then the one certain commonality would presumably be mathematics. -
It’s similar to the difference, between knowledge and understanding.

Bitch...

People who spend their own time and money on projects like restoring cars or creating art, feel free, ethics aren't involved; the same can’t be said for wanting to create animals for zoo’s or the wild, which would just add further issues to the ever increasing problem of trying to safeguard what we already have. I was awestruck this morning, whilst walking the dogs, a kingfisher put on a great display of its fishing prowess.

Jesus was almost certainly politically savvy, intelligent and could see the writing on the wall as regards his imminent demise. He’d done his work in terms of getting his message across and like most probably didn't want to die. That message probably reached as many Romans as it did his own people; maybe he formulated a plan, with soldier sympathisers, to go through the motions of crucifixion with a display designed to fool the watchers, then was taken down early and hidden in the cave to escape when the coast was clear. Maybe initially, he was going for a message that didn't include a deity, given his anger at the established religion, but was forced down a road that inevitably leads to religion.

As far as I can see, it’s Russia that’s answered, not China, although they have yet to deny Russia’s claim.

You should read the link in my last post.

Maybe you should visit these people Tar.

Thankfully, China is yet to get involved, one can only hope they don't.

Indeed, the fact is these animals died out through evolutionary pressures, the details of which are immaterial, but those same pressures would, probably, persist even with our intervention. The costs of trying to preserve the world as it now stands, is enormous and, it would seem, futile; so why create more, demonstrably unsuitable, animals?

Russia seems to have been involved since the first strategic takeover of vital communication resources; the lack of insignia doesn’t necessarily mean not involved.

Tar Are you just ignoring the difficult posts? Or is it you have no regards for me?

Tar, I sort of get your argument/position (I think), you’re suggesting, the all pervasive nature of religion in regards to your personal culture, means it’s difficult to think outside ‘that’ box; join the club, cultures a bi-atch init? You argue that religion, in this day and age, must, have an influence on our moral compass, as in your library analogy; but that analogy fails, because, whilst I know of the existence of libraries that doesn’t make me fluent in the dewy decimal system or even what’s contained therein; your argument fails in exactly the same way, however you try and change the focus/topic of this thread, please, whilst your sanity lasts, give up and simply do not post further nonesense.

There are all sorts of problems to overcome if the crops were hops, not Kent, being the least of which, although a wheat bear is certainly passable.

Living locally, I can only concur.
