  1. hmm, no takers on this huh? No worries I have your answers Flouroscopy: this is actually the use of a piece of equipment called a flouroscope to take internal X-ray's by interposing a glass plate coated with flourescent matereal to better enhance the internal organs/tissues for diagnosis. Infusion: the introduction of fluid into ones vessells (blood vessels arteries/veins) Often times you'll see the word Intravenous Infusion, as a Paramedic I can use infusions of Normal Saline to help temporarily increase someones blood volume. Though not equivalent to Blood normal saline is usefull short term to help increase the blood pressure as well some medications require IV access to be administered. Embolization: To clot or make hard. you may also see this word as Embolism, this can be comprised of many components ranging from fat to blood clot thereby resulting in a number of injuries such as a Myocardial infarction or Heart Attack, Cerebral Vascular incident/accident (CVA) or Stroke, even something else called a Pulmonary Embolism (PE) this happens when a clot occludes (blocks) a vessel supplying blood to the lungs. Hope this helps
  2. I don't know that we will ever find a cure for the "common cold" simply because of its amazing ability to transform itself to get into our body. Essentially the cold virus or bacterium uses a host to find its way in, this host is allowed in by our immune system becasue it doesn't recognize the invading pathogen as it has never seen it before. W.H.O, C.D.C...make vaccines for these viral/bacterial bodies but they are useless unless they happen to be spot on with how the pathogen enters the body. Unfortunately this can be a double edged sword, the more vaccines we create the more we attempt to build up our immunity the more the virus/bacterium mutates becomeing stronger immune to the very products we are using to make us immune thereby making it able to enter our body and make us ill. For those still reading this post, I hope this helps.
