  1. Circular reasoning This is just weak but I'll play along: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God Really?! use google...
  2. Come on, this is rubbish I could just as easily "assume" that rabbits created the universe
  3. Do you not feel that you have missed out some possibilities here?
  4. Only because gravity cannot propogate faster than light That does not mean it's in the past
  5. This is clearly wrong. You are confusing distance with "the past"
  6. This makes more sense. "I love my dog he loves me" Replace "salvation" with "salivation" and you might be on to something, I know that my dog regularly offers me salivation
  7. I presume from the title of the thread we are looking for evidence to back up christianity as a whole (any and all claims made by it)
  8. Did this get missed? I think it's a fair point
  9. "There's none so blind as them that won't listen"
  10. 9 pages now and still not one shred of anything even remotely resembling evidence so I'm going to help out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence
  11. "Observing" and "going to" are two different things entirely We can only observe the past due to the speed of light but that does not mean that we move into the past as we move away from an observer, only that the light travelling between us has finite speed
  12. I see the flow of propaganda going in both directions Do you not see that is is in fact a dig at both sides?
  13. Oh dear... Do you not see the flaw in using the above as evidence? It's just a story, there is no actual historical evidence of this
  14. I cant help feeling that there is more to it than that...
  15. Could you post this within the thread? It would help the discussion and I don't like downloading files
  16. I beg to differ, there is at least some evidence that suggests that the human mind is predisposed to create and believe such things, but no evidence for an actual real god
  17. Not everybody here is a scientist Don't weep just yet
  18. Very true, but then length is not as interesting as time (in my opinion)
  19. A very good point. I'm pretty sure that most scientists would love to find evidence of extra terrestrials. It's definitely not that they want to cover it up
  20. It is annoiying that it is such a fundamental concept and yet the best we can say is "it's what clocks measure" If we said the same of temperature "it's what thermometers measure" we would be laughed at
  21. That's pretty much what I expected to see and the extent of what physics has to say on the subject
  22. Ah, the first point of reference for any good scientist! Time is very dificult to pin down, I'm very interested to see how this thread turns out and if people can keep philosophy out of the thread...
  23. It strikes me that if you believe in Jesus but not in god, then you must believe Jesus lied about god. I mean, Jesus went on and on about god, god this, god that...
  24. Really? Ask yourself why aliens would bother with us. Why travel so far just to mess about and then leave and remove all evidence of their visit?
  25. There may well be more to evolution than we know, but it seems that natural selection is the biggest/most efective driver
