CO stretching frequencies

what's sleep? posted a topic in Homework Help

I'm curious as to what characteristics of ligands affect CO stretching frequencies. I've already accounted for backbonding, and I'm wondering what other characteristics are important. I'm also a little unclear as to what makes a ligand more pi accepting than another.
