It's a fundamental physics question. Maybe related to fundamental physical constants. Again, what is the underpinning for our specific statistical laws and what determines their numerical parameters.

Sorry if i didn't state the question clear enough, but i think it's valid to wonder what ultimately determines the properties and the specific parameters of normal distributions (Gauss curve - why do you get a different variance when you toss a dice n times with variable n). First principles. How deep down the ladder can we go today?

Hi there, noob question, but i just looked a bit at cellular respiration and seeing that DHAP and PGAL are at the peak of the glycolysis energy curve wondered why, simply put, you could not eat those instead of glucose (cf. NADH). Are they toxic, instable, ...? What about other metabolic intermediates? Thanks!
