I think fast reflexes has all got to do with how fast your able to process left-right thinking ability . The reflexes affect overall co-ordination and this is maybe how I can correlate video games having to do with something such as an occupational trait . Being timed while participating in an IQ test will help you understand the areas needed improvement if you want a certain career . My ability is that I'm good with words as to maths and on the other my score was 5 . Here is the test .. And this is what you do . # Get a pen and paper # Get a friend to time the test for 30 seconds. # When your friend says go, concentrate on the top left yellow dot. As you stare at this dot, the other dots will begin to disappear. Each time all three dots re-appear, tick the paper. # Your friend should call stop after 30 seconds. SCORES: # If you scored between 4 and 6, your brain switch rate is average. # If you scored more than 6, your brains switch rate is fast, like a dancer. # If you scored less than 4, your brain switch rate is slow, like a mathematicians. Orion , I see you are pessimistic about possibilities . This was mentioned to be the same cost as to the flight of mars , so if there is a cheaper altenative for a solution then why is this invalid , people work on ways to solve problems this is what we are here for and it seems not much appreciation was given to that simple idea of a space elevator . If we were not so much in a rush to develop complex technologies which suit our need for practical implictation (example on next paragraph) , then that elevator would be a means to provide a way 100s of times cheaper, faster and smarter to build something like a giant space station which then in turn could would open up a myriad of space-dev possibilities. So and only then that would give us more option to open possibilities to other areas in space but it seems this 'space race' is taking toll on the dim-witted who are prepared to spend outrageous amounts of money to make a one off flights to Mars . I read in the New Scientest that a guy found a cheaper, faster and smarter way to build bridges ,what surprised me was this was not a complex practical application but rather it was a complex practical 'simplication' meaning it wasn't a complex idea to create as would normal bridges be . The complexity was because a complex process in the creation which allowed an acid to double the volume of a limestone surface allowed the limestone to raise its height several times on itself , not by hauling in $800 million of resources and spending years upon building it . So like as the mentioned above with complexity of processes involving nanotech , then these such things are a leap in logic to convential thinking . Genius Ideas are the simple ones .

On the news article I related that NASA would probaly not be allowed to enter the intra American space race for reasons of why this $50 million prize is being put up for encouraging private space companies to take over what NASA has recently been failing out , working & bulding cheaper rockets .

5614, I don't NASA would be allowed , does it mention that anywhere ? Well I wouldn't be surprised . Since if SS1 wins again then the Government would save it self a hellalotof money by not having to fund NASA to build more failed aircraft . (The reason why NASA is very hesitant on the next flight to space)
-
I wouldn't be supporting this space race comp if it wern't for the good spirit of those hoping to achieve first private manned space flight ,if it were me building I certainly would not be for profit , it would be a life investment worth committing to ( that may also have good returns ) which to give us hope the possibility for one person to achieve there personal desire to go into space . Although it may only be 50 million big ones it is a small price to pay for developing such craft, so this also pushes those people who are coming up with ideas to build more effiecient, cost effective and innovative crafts as well ( maybe because government running out of ideas & money ) .

us.2u , I believe there is life somewhere where we are just on a parallel plain ,only if we can find a way to communicate to the parallel universe that exists beyond our beginning some tens of billions years back .

other than that I think the Raptor looks better .

This one thing I don't Get , Who would ever go into war using these jets ,countries would be to afraid to fight eachother ,this is the only thing which is preventing these jets actually being useful . People with much knowledge as Michael Jackson about wars which spend hundreds of thousands of dollars building bombshelters or buying whatsoever to protect themselves from people who have nothing more than a pair of sandles and boxcutters is kinda hilarious to think about it . Are we expecting another war or what ? because I would find it a waste of money spending a quarter billion dollars on a multirole fighter jet . Oh btw , this point is taking on the 'ethical' side of development if anyone didnt think of this first .

Dreams...What do they mean? How are they linked to our everyday lives?
Verusamore replied to Fellowes's topic in Biology
It is obvious im not explaining how it works as I tend to take my own dreams seriously ,so just a thought that I might add before anyone assuming anything from my little story about a certain dream . -
Dreams...What do they mean? How are they linked to our everyday lives?
Verusamore replied to Fellowes's topic in Biology
I've tried to cause a certain dream to happen before .It worked but the events which happened within them cannot be manipulated , your life inside the dream is as natural as how you live your life also . This is how it happened , I was talking to a beautiful spanish girl who Ive been talking to for about 4 years now , as I was talking about the future I was describing what the future would be like between me & her if we one day decided to meet . I was feeling a little depressed for the first time in a long time which explains the reason behind this, so we then talked like as if we had met eachother for the first time again . To the point , after we wished eachother our final farewell & sweet dreams , I took what she said for sweet dreams as truth ( rather than just an 'ok I will' passively ) and then before going to bed I felt alot better after having talking to her . This what I foreseen and what I have taken into consideration ; I dreamt and it happened to be my future with me & her , when I woke up I was much confused about what will happen in the future ,as I asked should I let marriage be or choose to live life without a marriage and just carry on and dedicate my personal life to something I'm passionate about ? In my wisdom I think , if a women can accept me truly for what I am then that would be something not to be ignored ( that would be selfish if I did),I will try and let things happen naturally as possible and not try to change it to suit my own life & needs for fear of marriage( that would be selfish ) . I believe as long as I continue to be strong and willed as I am now , Im determined to do only good things and I will not any way be doubtful( or have doubtful dreams) unless sub-consciously I suspect the truth is not what it appears to be ( which will tell me something to be suspicous of for the future ) . -

I have met people who are incredibly intelligent that think like this and in a way I'm inspired just to know what they know ,so it is humbling also to meet someone who can speak and lexicate the languages ,very interesting .

Ophiolite , Only If I had time I would love to learn linguistics and languages , it would definetly affect the way I would learn about peoples charactersitics ,traditions etc especially If were to be doing a psychology degree , I can imagine the implications of just understanding the nature of language .
