I'm not discriminated against for not being married. Never have been. Sure, people discriminate against single parents, especially mothers, but I can't think of being thought of as "not normal" for being single. Hell, I'm not normal for plenty of other reasons. As far as that goes, define normal.

I know I can order a trigger for my paintball gun, which converts it from electric to mechanical, and increases the fire rate from 13/sec to 17/sec. I don't know alot about real gun triggers, however, I imagine various trigger designs result in various bullets/sec speed, maybe 3 or 5 round burst options, etc. Real deer hunters kill them bare handed. well, this has little to do with sex. This has more to do with recognizing and granting rights which are granted to others who are married. Tax breaks, benefits, access to emergency rooms for ICU, etc. But I fail to see where this is a negative effect of 2 gay people being married. I fail to see how this has anything to do with your life, nor can I see how this in anyway limits anyone's freedom, nor causes them pain, unhappiness, or makes them unable to live a decent life. And, while I make mistakes here and there, I'm pretty smart, infact, including mistakes, I'd say that makes me human. I see non-smoking people do the dumbest stuff, makes me laugh for ever. However, If it killed brain cells, would this eventually cause you to die? I mean, I've met some super smokers in my day, almost non stop types. Seems like eventually you would die, and there is no documented case of death via weed. Or perhaps you can live with a 90% dead brain?

Well, I was quite impressed by his MTV interview. I like his plans for college, which affect myself and my fiance, who has been turned down for a pell grant, because apparently 14,000/y is too much to be needing help. I like his plan to reduce the tax burden on the middle and lower classes, shifting it to the big spenders, who honestly, are not gonna miss a few extra dollars. Also I feel Kerry will more strongly support scientific research, and perhaps even take this global warming thing serious. And yes, I mostly want bush the hell out the office. He has made a mess of this country, pissed of the world, and doesn't really have a damned thing to show for it. We have a new federal cop department, less privacy, long waits at airports, and a kid from right up the street can still sneak weapon like objects onto an airplane. We've got a former ruler of a country out of power, yet the guy who dealt a pretty nasty blow to our country is still walking free, perhaps planning the next. And marching him out NOV 1 will not change my mind, only verify conspiracys IMO. We've gone to war in two countries, we're talking about going to war in a third, which will likely require the draft. I voted no, but while reading through the thread, I believe we are throwing plenty of money at space, just not in the right areas. For instance, I do not understand why we don't have a moon base. If we would have been dedicating our resources to setting up a moon base, which could design/house/repair and launch craft into space, our costs would drop alot, since we would have to overcome Earths gravity to launch. I also believe that we need to get man off this planet before some crazy fundie blows the place up, or an asteroid wipes us out. I mean, we are the first species that has been able to leave this planet, we should be in a position to avoid complete destruction of life. Going to mars would be cool, but I believe we need to have bases on the moon before we do much of anything else. Imagine building an observatory on the moon, the clarity of the images? And for as much as we've spent on space exploration, we spend entirely to much on war. We should quit fighting, start building big Death Stars ala Star Wars to house people in space.

Well, I'm not real sure, but if you go to each of your computers, you should have some ip that is something like 198.162.x.x Or something like that unless you specified a certain one. To net send in your own local network, all you need to know is the computer's name. Open a windows explorer session (window key + E) and go to network neighborhood, or my network places, it varies depending on OS. Expand that, and go to "Computers Near Me" and it will list the 2 pcs in your network by name. I think you can right click and get the numbered IP, but the name works just as well. This is true. Automated machines are eliminating the need for humans. The day we have machines repairing the production machines, humans will be all but useless. Honestly, as things become fully automated, I don't see how capitalism will be able to work. The only people who will prosper will be those who had the capital to invest in the automated technology. Any who do not, will have to rely on retail jobs, cooking, grave digging, and general construction labor. Since everyone will be unemployed when companies reach full automation, these markets will be flooded as well. Almost everyone will be unemployed and broke, aside from the wealthiest. Supply and demand is great, but it doesn't matter how much demand there is for something if the people demanding it can't afford to buy it. I believe full automation will cause a crash, if we can manage to make it there before we run out of oil that is.

Hey, thats cool. I mean, deer meat is pretty good, I just hate to hear about people who kill animals and leave them laying, or take the head, or horns etc. I'm not dissing deer hunting, I hit one in my car in 02, caused about $4500 worth of damage. I was talking to my insurance agent, who informed me some 3000 deer get hit /day. Well, the illegal guns I'm talking about are the ones that do not exist via serial numbers, etc. Guns that were maybe stolen in a robbery, serials filed off, etc. I've known people in the past who had BOXES of pistols, selling them for 30, 40 bucks. With people like that on the street, it would honestly be stupid to outlaw guns, because the only people that would have guns would be 1) Cops, military etc 2) Criminals. Ahh, I forget what my gun is, but it pumps out 13 balls a second. I've actually used it to chase off some kids messin around on my property late one night. And while going to the shooting range and shooting at bulleyes could be fun, I much more prefer shooting people, over, and over, and over.

I've currently got a 802.11g wireless network setup at my house. My modem, router, and vonage phone thingy is all located in the living room, with no physical connection to a pc. Now, the intructions tell you that you have to have connected to a pc, and these seems true as far as setting it up. But once you get a pc connected on the wireless network, and know it is functional, you can unplug the ethernet cable from the setup pc, take that card out, install a wireless nic and boom. Infact, since I've configured it, I've reinstalled OS's on both my computers, and haven't had to change a thing on the router. I can unplug it, move it around, plug it back in and it still works. I think the whole "master pc" is ole school. Depending on what your trying to network, like 2 or 3 pc's, you can do it without a router, just using ICS (But then one pc MUST be on to have internet at the others). Simply install 2 nic cards in the main pc, plug modem into one, and run a cable from the 2nd one to the other pc. If you want to network a 3rd pc, you'll need 5 nic cards all together. I just have alot of computer junk laying around, so this was a good setup for me originally, even though my networking teacher told me it would not work. However, the cost of 5 new nic cards is probably right around that of a decent wireless router.

np man, once I get home and have access to my books and notes, I'll share much more about it. Its some cool stuff. It was intended for networking, but, for example I was at my friends house one night, messing with his pc. I had shared my quake 3 folder earlier that day, and there is some way to connect to PCs over the internet. Anyhow, I connected to my computer, and ran quake on his over then internet. Sure, it didn't play very well, but it was quite awesome. Its like, with enough time, a very awesome p2p network could be setup via this method. Wish I remembered more about it.

haha, I think I just realized whats going on. Windows has a protocol, it is called Messenger. What the guy is doing, and yes, it could very well be a machine, is scanning your subnet for ip's with messenger service enabled. The protocol I'm talking about was intended to be used for network admins to send messages to specific groups of users, or individuals. have a look at this site, which discusses how spammers and wanna be hackers are using it: http://www.updatexp.com/messenger_service_spam.html now, the command works by opening a dos command prompt, and typing net send the.ip.goes.here [your message] - the [] of course. So next time you get one of these messages, don't close the window right away, look at the top of it. It will either have an IP address, or perhaps a name. If you run a dns lookup on that name, and I'm ole school so I still use mIrc for this purpose, it will give you the ip. Anyhow, when you get the message, open up a dos prompt, and type : "net send NAMEORIPOFWANNABE Aight bunghole, I got you now" You can play with this a little bit too. For instance, once you get his name or IP, open up an IE (netscape or whatever) and type \\NAMEORIP and if the guy is dumb enough to have any shared folders, you can get some revenge. (help me out people, I can't remember much details of the \\ trick, been to long and I don't have my notes handy, I know there is more to it) Anyhow, the above link will explain how to disable the messenger service, which is NOT MSN. As to the guy messing with you in the game, like I was suggesting in your other topic that was locked, I'd look up to see what kinda of hacks there are for that particular game. Not so that you can do it, but so you can see what other people are doing to you. Sometimes the best way to defend againsts a hacker, is to know how he is hacking you.
