  4. its more spherical than blue. the sphere is an object which exists in four dimensions. blue is our brains interpretation of the energy reflected from it.

  6. ooops
  7. Cool. It looks like a pulse jet. What pressure do you use and have you used any disposable wading to help it seal.
  8. Why is this not realistic.
  9. The only one I got and it was a joke.
  10. No, just a bit of my insanity leaking out again.
  11. Is that an accurate depiction. The sail looks as if it will spin the craft.
  12. From what I've heard they will only nest in dirty houses, but they will eat anything including each other so I'm not sure that holds true. A good ultra late spring clean might help keep the chances of breeding down. There is a paste you can use which smells like sunday lunch to then but is leathal. There are also little card boxes with sticky paper inside which have a scent that attracts them and if theres a few you can watch them eat each other when they get stuck.
  13. Wellllll helllllooo therrrrrre. Thanks for the offer of help but from the responses I recieve I think I'm beyond it
  14. Why not super cool the back of a cat and then drop it. No that would be cruel. Butter some toast and then super cool the butter. You could see if the cooling over came the force of the butter.
  15. I voted out side this star system due to the odds. Evolution was a fluke to start with and I think the chance of it happening again in such a small area is very slim.
  16. Could the shifting of the continents have gradualy altered the earths center of gravity causing it to spin on a different axis?
  17. In the interests of SFN and the greater good I will have an extra birthday today.
  18. I thought about this quite a bit before and the main problem would be getting people with money to give up the power it gives them. I suppose if money were made worthless then they couldn't do any thing about it but as they are generaly in the positions of power you better bet they'd find a way. I think the best thing to do would be for every one to be tested to see what their abilitys are and then to use those abilitys for the greater good and, as a reward you receive anything you want within your alocated resource quota. As for the advancement of science and technology, if the research and equipment was free and the people working on it had nothing to gain other than the enjoyment of a new discovery, I think we would advance faster than ever.
  19. Don't let me put you off. My brain is like a swiss cheese version of dog food. I am only an authority on the inside of my eye lids. Please Please continue it is a good point.
  20. It wouldn't realy be that usefull I don't think. If our time is constantly varying due to the rotation of the galaxly orbit etc then our clocks wouldn't make sense. All we realy need is acurate time in our frame. If interstellar travel takes off then it might be good. The only problem I can see is that the components of the clock would be subject to dilation which might make it tricky to build it. But thats only my op.
