the drives or the disks? if your paying more than $5 for a drive your being cheated at this point. as i said, mine was free. i never had to pay for disks because all my old programs used to come on them and they are all trash now so i dont feel bad about writing over them.

yes, because i had cheap(free) and easy access to a whole bunch of floppy drives, and sometimes they are the easiest way to do certain things.

IM not confusing anything. these people TELL ME thats their biggest problem with it. maybe THEY are confused, im the messenger. i dont recall making any assumptions about you, id appreciate it if you didnt pass judgement on my lack of experience, or for all you know, my desire to keep my private life private. in other words, dont be a dick. youd be wrong. during my 5 years at that highschool (5 because i stopped by in 8th grade, not because i failed) i saw exactly one straight couple making out, once. there were 2 or 3 lesbian couples i saw making out EVERY DAY. yet again, i saw the girls making out everyday, without anyone so much as saying anything, but, as i said, i probably live in a much more sheltered area than most.

while fixing some broken watering pipes in our backyard my dad kicked over the can of purple primer (the stuff you put on the PVC before the glue to get the joint all clean and stuff) and it spilled all over our brand new concrete sidewalk. the stuff is purple, and apparently stains. so now there is this big purple sploch on our white sidewalk and im curious if you guys know of good ways of removing it. apparently the stuff is comprised of the following: methyl ethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, tetrahydrofuran, and acetone. if that helps : P would the same methods as removing oil stains do it? would bleech accomplish anything?

i dont know about myth one, but myth two is definately right, just based on economics. when selling a computer they have to account for all of their costs. one of those costs is labor. if you put it together yourself there is far less labor for you to pay for.

im gonna try saying that differently now. it really doesnt express my thoughts on this. the only way to achieve equality in society is to no longer legally and officially recognize differences. if you want absolute equality for homosexuals your not gonna get it by marching through the streets shouting out crap like "were here, were queer, get used to it." the only way is to not accentuate the fact that your any different from anyone else. you want equality? petition to have "man" and "woman" removed from the constitution entirely on the grounds that it unfairly singles out half of the population anytime its used. anywhere it says "man" or "woman" should say "person". thats the only way your gonna get it. man, woman, latino, african american, and anyother words describing a minority should never appear on any legal document. your stretching my words an aweful lot. i have never said you should hide. im just saying a parade is just gonna piss off the kind of people that would vote against gay marriage. once again, quit stretching my words. theres a big difference between being "Seen in public" and having a parade through the middle of town rubbing your orientation in the faces of all the people who dont like it. protest in legally effective ways. petition, hold a demonstration on specific issues, like gay marriage, write to your legislation. im just saying of the homophobes ive talked to about this, the majority tell me their biggest beef is things like the gay pride parade. no yes, but ive hugged my male friends in public too. i would assume your right about that, but i cant say i actually know. at my school i saw far more lesbians making out in the hallways than straight couples, but i live in california about 30 minutes from san fran so my area is probably somewhat more liberal than most.

who do you think sees the actual parade? do you think its the homophobes who beat people to death for holding hands? do you think they are out there watching you stand up for yourself? no. they are at home watching the media altered version. the people at the parade arent the ones you need to convince, so yeah, the media image is what matters in this case. im not saying they should be hiding. reading that again, its poorly phrased, i was in the process of writing this response but i have chores i need to do. then later today im driving up to oregon. ill write more later on. hopefully ill get a chance this week. : P

so? i am aware of the fact that this country still feels like it has the right to run peoples lives, i was not aware of that particular law, although i have heard of similar ones. thats a pointless argument. the kind of people who would beat someone to death for that are not people who are going to be swayed in the least by realizing lots of normal people are gay. i believe i mentioned that particular issue. thats a problem, go protest it. yeah... maybe try to think about the sentence before responding to it next time. the point, which you have handily blown over, is that they dont deserve rights because they are gay they deserve rights because they are people because it will piss people off. because it will turn people against you. because, as i mentioned at the start of this, it inspires hatred, and disgust, in a lot of people. in other words it fights against your cause. no, it doesnt bother me the slightest bit. but it does do all three of those for a lot of people. they get to vote too. your asking to be a hell of a lot more open than most people. do you see me parading down the street celebrating MY sexual orientation? no. im too polite for that. a lot of people are very easily offended. not to mention the fact that it would be met with the same reaction as "white power".

the stuff most people associate the gay pride parade with is not going to help people think of them as just normal folks you live next door to. which is more of the stupid, backwards thinking people always use in regard to minority rights. if you want gays to be thought of as equal, and have all the same rights, what needs to happen is i need to never hear about it. why should i? why do you need to be visible as a homosexual? why cant you just be visible as another us citizen? if im at a party and you say "and this is my partner, john" fine. but other than that there is no reason for me to hear about it. if people would just quit dividing themselves into stupid little groups we wouldnt have the need for sepperate groups to be recognized. your not saying hey, were just like you, we should have the same rights. your screaming about your differences. thats stupid.

some one in a gang. violent groups of teenagers, often in territorial wars with each other. urban dictionary seems to think gangbanger means someone who has killed at least one enemy gang member, but in my neighborhood it was used to mean anyone who was in a gang. edit, i guess not necessarily teenagers.

you really dont even need to read it to answer your question. perpetual motion machine? nope, wont work. specifically, the air, and moving parts of your system cause friction, and therefore heat, which means your losing energy. if your talking about an electromagnet on each side, then even if you could achieve perfect efficiency, the amount of energy pulling on the rod would be, at best, equal to the amount of energy produced by your generator, which means it would need an initial burst of energy to get going. but you cant achieve perfect efficiency. the generator gives off heat as someone already mentioned, then theres the friction... not gonna happen.

actually, i find the most frequent response is more along these lines: "the gay pride parade" and gay rights movement in general. is there a "straight pride parade"? why does it need to be thrown up in peoples faces? fine, your gay, congratulations, why does that need to end up as a parade going down my street? second place is "sinful"

i never said you were making it up, just that its really shallow and way too narrow of a way of looking at girls and relationships in general.

are you taking creationism to mean the belief that god created everything or the belief that evolution is wrong? because i know plenty of people who believe in both(evolution and creationism), and the belief that god created everything is not ignorance or misinformation. it cannot be proven wrong, you cannot supply evidence that it is wrong. one of my friends (one of the ones who believes in both, actually) took a geology class this year. the teacher he had was very intent on using geological evidence to disprove creationism. apparently every lesson he taught he included something about how some rock or another was formed in such a way that it could not have happened in the time frame creationists describe. that is IDIOCY. were talking about a -god-, "God made the rock look like it wasnt formed in a day as a test of faith for people like you." end of story, your evidence is now worthless. the dudes supposed to be all powerful, anything you say couldnt have been made by him in a day absolutely could have. if you want to argue that its a plague on humanity your going the wrong way. it doesnt spread misinformation. the only thing you could really argue is that it supports a certain thought process that isnt really worth anything, and might make children bad scientists: blind faith.
