  1. Thats.... ...weird. When you say "fake name and a fake accent" do you mean that they pretend to be American or English?
  2. These links hopefully will help you further: http://www-scf.usc.edu/~chem322a/resources/ch1/covalent.html http://www.accessexcellence.org/RC/VL/GG/cov_IonicBs.html http://www.bcpl.net/~kdrews/interactions/interactions.html http://www.elmhurst.edu/~chm/vchembook/153Acompare.html http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/chemical/bond.html Hope those are enough to put you on the right track...
  3. This is kind of strange. Tell me if this happens to any of you too. Everytime I yawn, tears build in my eyes. Is this common?
  4. I don't see why not, if the evolution permits. If the conditions for survival favor carnivorous behavior, guess what, carnivores will persist.
  5. This isn't so bad. First understand that the different groups correspond to different electron orbitals: Groups 1 & 2 are the 'S' orbitals Groups 3 thru 8 are the 'P' orbitals Transition metals are the 'D' orbitals the Lan & Act series are the 'F' orbitals (you really shouldn't concern yourself a lot with these) Just look at where that element is that you want make an electron Configuration for using a periodic table. http://www.dayah.com/periodic/ Take Aluminum for example. You see that its in the Group 3' date=' so its outer shell has 3 electrons. You see that its in the 3rd period. So its Electron Config. would be [1s^2'][2s^2][2p^6][3s^2][3p^3] I'm a horrible teacher, here's a better source: http://www.ucdsb.on.ca/tiss/stretton/chem1/elecon7.html
  6. So If you don't usually cry, does that mean that you really don't experience intense emotion?
  7. I searched Google too and found this: http://www.leyada.jlm.k12.il/proj/black/evidence.htm Does this help? Or did you find that one already?
  8. Wow. Makes you wonder if there are more planets floating around our solar system...
  9. Yeah I suppose your right. I have never tweaked it. But, it does seem to me that Windows 98 just worked better "out-of-the-box" than WindowsXP and the atrocious WindowsME . What is Microsoft up to anywhy?
  10. Actually I do remember studying Graph Theory. But how is it used in Psych and Sociology?
  11. Trust me, I'm keeping as far away from Abstract Algebra as possible. I don't even want to think about how confusing Abstract Algebra probably is.
  12. Hey, I'm no mathematician. And for good reason, too. I took all the required math that I needed for my major. I'm happy. As you said, I am unacquainted with what a mathematician actually studies. I assumed it involved manipulating numbers. I guess that I'm wrong. But, is Discrete Math very important in mathematical research?
  13. Maybe its because Windows XP is garbage...or at least I like to think so...
  14. Yeah, I also failed to see why it "perplexed" scientist. What is so mystical about anti-bubbles?
  15. Is it possible that Dark Matter could be connected to the Multiverse?
  16. Why did they decide to use Beer anyway? What about its nature is conducive in forming anti-bubbles?
  17. Is it known what this slight difference is?
  18. Let me elaborate to further show the diversity that is the US educational system. In blike's region, the above may be true. But, at what grade elementary, middle, and high school begin differs from region to region. And whether a student is going to a private or public school. For public schools, it usually depends largely on the population of that particular region. I'm assuming that, if he is from a public school, Blike is from a smaller town, whose schools could fit grades 1-6. I live in a more (I'm assuming) urban (or rather sub-urban) setting in which: Elementary School is Kindergarten - 4th grade Middle School is 5th - 8th grade High School is 9th - 12th grade
  19. Unless your from India that is...
  20. What exactly is an atom interferometer?
  21. Thales, does your answer come from sources or is it just a guess?
