  1. the 1.5 cd (color dome) has a visibility of about 1mile for Red, Gr, Wh, Yel, Blu You can concentrate the light by getting LEDs with a lower degree of visibility so like 60Degrees spreads the light out...9 degrees is pretty concentrated. Also you can add a reflector to boost the light source.
  2. doh! Right you are! That 8 LED Trailer (12V) array has a draw about .035 amp NOT .3 !
  3. Another new-bie question: So energy wise, Battery is 18V, The LED array only needs 12V and say .3amps What happens to the extra "juice"? Do I actually "save energy"? Or does it dispate via the potentiometer?
  4. You guys are awesome! Can I use it on a wire that connects an LED array to the battery or does it attach somehow to the over-the counter circuit board?
  5. HAVE: 18V battery 18V light with housing (for front of bike) NEED: low amp/low V rear light with housing (that'll talk to the 18V battery) 12V bulbs fry out on 18V battery. ??What sort of bulb(with housing) do you suggest?? Add some sort of DC voltage regulator?
  6. The battery is 18V. I built another similar light with just the 18V bulb and battery and it worked cool. Now I want to add that 24V (.6amp) LED for a tail light. Any suggestions?
  7. I have a similar question for a bicycle light. a. With a 18V bulb how can I attach a 24V (.6AM) LED tail light to the back of the bike? b. Do I need some sort of voltage regulator/transformer so the battery can last longer? If so which one? 18V bulb >--------18V drill battery -----<24V LED tail light? -Virginia
