but they are oxidizers. and a lot of permanganate mixtures react with moisture. mainly potassium permanganate. add to that 25% powdered sugar and 25% aluminum dust and pour water on it, and then tell me that it doesnt react with water.
-
oops, i think carbonates and acetates can also be considered. or are carbonates bases?
-
peroxides(dangerous), permanganates(very reactive with water), dichromates, bromates, sulfides, iodides, trioxides, oxides, dioxides, hypochlorates, hypochlorides.....there are plenty to choose from. i think thats all of them, but i could be missing a few.

wow, this thread blew up...lol. thanks sayonara "Can I point out for future reference in this thread that saying why you don't support Kerry is not answering the question." i dont want this thread to be a flame war. so please, lets get back on the topic of "why do you support bush" right now we're republican policy vs. democrat policy. in particular, budullewragh, i'm looking for bush supporters responses, as to why they support him. i dont want this to get into an out of hand policy battle. thanks
-
i'll guarantee that bush set off a couple illegal fireworks over the 4th...he's a good ol' boy, he had to of.
-
honestly, i really can't understand why so many people support bush. i'd like some reasons. and please, make them factual. nothing like "because he is the best to protect us against terror" because bush has had a chance as president and kerry has not. therefore its all speculation that kerry will do bad. i dont want comparisons. i want some reasons for why you(if you do) support bush.
-
yeah. the ATF will be at your doorstep asking you questions about who your enemies are and such.
-
actually, it was cheyney spewing all the personal remarks about kerry. and all he could say was the record speaks for itself. lol. well, if that was the case, then we have a coke addict, a drunk driver, AND a liar as a president.
-
i know...i told him that if sugar was FAR superior(as he states) then estes would gladly use it, as it would be cheaper to manufacture. every sugar powder i've ever made has never come CLOSE to performing as good as BP.
-
ahh the media...if you watched the debate, you would know that it was edwards who had the edge. and cheyney actually took over for edwards early in the debate and talked for the entire time of edwards 2 minute question...talk about interruption. cheyney couldnt back himself up, the only thing he was persistant in saying was that we need bush in order to defeat the terrorists...he never elaborated. he didnt say jack crap about why we are in iraq and not searching for osama. he admnits that osama isnt in iraq, but zirqawi is, and zirqawi is the man we want...well, osama is supposedly the mastermind, so why are we relentlessly persuing a minor person in the al quida organization? instead of the "leader". also, we went in to capture saddam, zirqawi was nowhere to be found in any of their reasoning before we had got saddam. who has limited if any ties with al quida. but now we're rebuilding iraq, which is for no reason because our mission is to destroy terrorism. also, bush was asked repeadedly to restructure that bill in which the soldiers armor fund was in conjunction with a fluff giveaway of 7 billion dollars. thats why kerry and edwards didnt vote for it, because that 7 million dollars wasnt being accounted for, it was going to someone. at the expense of the american tax payers. who are already bearing an incredible burden because of the tax cut and the war all rolled into one. not to mention that 45+ million people dont have health care and anothe 8 million people dont have work. and that 8 million people is only people counted from people who used to have jobs. so in reality, 8 million people who USED to have jobs are out of work and however many have entered the working field in bush's term have not made a significant impact, obviously. since every month new jobs are created at a rate of 50% of expectation. maybe if bush had a clue and stopped outsourcing to china and india...the dollar continues to lose ground on the foreign market, americans are continually becoming enemies to other countries, and no other country will ever give us a loan again because of "our" carelessness in spending. sounds great. looks like 4 more for bush would be suitable to completely turn this country into a slovakia.

halliburton wasnt given a no-bid contract. they were given an unbiddable contract, where, no other company had the manpower or resources to do the job at hand. surely i believe this was fabrication by the bush administration, overemphasising their needs so that the only company it COULD go to would be halliburton, but it is true, that halliburton was the only company that could meet their needs.

its funny, thats probably diannes gun in the picture....heh.

ok, so i just got in a huge argument on a rocket board. this guy keeps telling me that sugar has a much higher impulse than BP and is a lot more predictable...is there any truth to this argument?
-
you can burn pine cones...that makes good charcoal...
-
hmmm...200+lbs of rocketfuel....me thinks....Z impulse motor!!!
-
rocketman...maybe consider using some BP and dextrin or some slow burning sugar powder. that would increase heat generated over a longer period of time, thereby giving you a much better chance of ignition. not only that, but the flash powder can blow whatever you're igniting into bits. and thats no good in rocket motors. one crack in a grain and KAPOW cato.

jdurg, check this out http://www.element-collection.com/ also, i dont know about europe, but here in america, it costs like...20 bucks to register a business. also, gilded, where did you find a 1g ampoule for 50 bucks of cesium? the cheapest i've found is 110 dollars for 99.999% pure. 1g. unless you buy in bulk, in chick case over 12g would cost you 94 dollars a gram.
-
jdurg, if a drop of liquid nitrogen gets on your skin its no problem, you have enough body head to boil it all off in a short amount of time...however, if the surface area is larger, say more than 3 square inches of flesh, you can expect some type of frostbite, or the beginnings of it.
-
well, the HF molecule is a lot smaller, allowing it to sink into your skin pores a lot quicker and circ through the blood stream. there have been many fatalities as a result of improper use of HF acid.

i sound insane...because people want to ban something that will protect me, exposing me to other people who dont abide by the rules who have that means of protection and who will use it on me in an assaulting mannor to take my car, money, house, life....the banning of self-defense is insane. anti-gunners sound(look would be a better word) insane when they sponsor a bill to outlaw guns, but THEY ARE GUN OWNERS!!! lol, shows the logic. they can have guns, but we cant. you think thats sane?
-
boris, by calculation(im not good at math, so this is someone elses calculation) 100ml of liquid nitrogen in a 2 liter bottle could potentially expand to 30,000psi. remember that liquid nitrogen expands to 6 hundred something times is volume when it evaporates. so does liquid oxygen, so you'll need a big thing of oxygen to make a small thing of liquid oxygen. but hey, thats some rocket fuel for ya!!!
-
max, you should direct that question to blike, the owner of the site. to start a new thread, pick a category from the main page, and then at the top left in a given subject there will be a button that says post thread, or something like that... back to cesium...yes, this is true YT, however, could you develop an explosive that would be capable of being dropped into a river and then exploding, and not only deflagrating itself, but also exploding(i'd use detonate, but hydrogen doesnt really detonate) the hydrogen that was given off in the innitial reaction?
-
oh man though...50 grams of cesium....think of what it would do off a bridge into a river!! that would be like... 50x$130 thats 6500 dollars. lol. if i was rich, i'd definately buy it.

kerry won outright. bush's convictions are not good ones. if you keep punching a rock wall, and progressively you bleed more and more, will you keep doing it? well thats what bush has been doing, but all his blind supporters seem to think its going somewhere....his convictions are to keep us in iraq forever, until someone else takes over to make the tough decision, because bush is stuck in iraq and he doesnt have a pot to piss in. ask him what his plan for iraq is, he'll say we're rebuilding...ahh, how broad.
