"They teach maths very slowly in here. For example, this year, we were thought Pythagoras' Theorem."
Hmmh. Finland seems to have the same problem too. We don't have a problem with the advanced mathematics in high school though, it's even starting to seem that I should drop down to the less advanced math (but the cursed chemistry and physics calculation buggers need the adv. maths :< ).
"It's just that a GC machine isn't exactly what you'd call "portable". heh."
You can say that again. MS machines aren't really that portable either. Although someday they might be (which would be quite helpful actually ).
Judging from the average heights here, you US fellows should really start eating your vegetables.
And remember, a BigMac might seem like one but it isn't a vegetable.
"Bismuth trioxide (Bi2O3) is that stuff that’s floats to the top and wont melt whenever you melt bismuth."
I thought that it's Bi2O3, but ChemFinder told me that it's Bi4O6. Ahh well...
Hmmh... I wonder if just burning bismuth in a pure oxygen atmosphere would yield bismuth trioxide.
Or then no, since it seems quite complex (Bi4O6). Looks kinda like hexamine.
As stated many more times before, there is an actual thread for the DISCUSSION of element collecting. Perhaps YT should lock this one.
"-unless you are really wealthy and dont care about your money, scrap the lanthanides"
Hmmh. Got myself a lanthanide collection for 119 dollars. Didn't have promethium, but had scandium and yttrium instead. Even though they are "rare earths", only a few of them are actually rare.
