  1. so many answers here, nobody feels so weird why this guy wants to get hallucination ? is he a masochist ?
  2. how about grapeseed oil ? how much antioxidant we can absorb ? does it have anti-aging effect as it claims ? anyone can clue me in ?
  3. u watched it ?? on which day ? any pics taken ? mind sharing ?
  4. German beer ? kidding...
  5. thanks for your reply. An expert said putting an apple(not peeled) in water for more than 15 minutes will lose xx% of its vitamin C , cuz it goes into water. (It is water soluble). Is that true ? or crap ? i often put apples in water with a little amount of salt in order to get rid of pesticide.
  6. I think there is a very strong placebo effect in this method but it 'works' if you want it to. I haven't studied acupuncture in depth so can't say anything more. in my opinion acupuncture is not a cure-all therapy. of course no cure-all in the world. i dont think it can work on every patient. i was told to find a doctor who has been practicing acupuncture for at least 25 years, in case any unexpected accident happens on me. acupunturists need extensive experience.
  7. No, i dont think it is d, it should be © cuz.
  8. Aside from saving endangered species, one important reason why China do their best to keep Pandas and make them reproduce is 'Panda Diplomacy'. with that, Pandas become more priceless. free pandas into wild, they can hardly survive. ' Previous attempts by Chinese authorities to release pandas into the wild have proved unsuccessful. The last bear that was set free in 2006 was found dead after 10 months, apparently killed by wild pandas.'
  9. i am just curious does eidetic memory or elephant's memory exist in normal people ? if it does, what's the odds ? can normal people have eidetic memory or elephant's memory after being trained ? any genius was born to have eidetic memory ? how could we have a very good memory ? lots of Qs...just curious.
  10. maybe your father is an engineer too or the like. just guess only. actually, we dont know what's the difference between lefthanded and righhanded, same goes to the puzzle we cant find an accurate answer for our traits. why some people are like that, others are not like that..... talk about "accurate", really hard to draw a conclusion. only % theory, more likely, most likely, with some exceptions...... i think most of science theories has exception.(cuz it is not 1 + 1 = 2.) one thing i am curious is whether father is a more dominant part to decide how smart his kids are ? (discussion only)
  11. whether u could find the science/maths stuff in the link is your OWN concern, not mine. i give link here to share inform, NOT guarantee anything, of course not offend anyone like u do. i am not an educator/lecturer/teacher giving any class here, therefore nobody needs to fix the link provided by http://learn.genetics.utah.edu. this is only discussion thread.no obligation to give u any answers. consider scientists are argueing this, even scientists cant draw a conclusion, how could non-scientist jump into any conclusion to satisfy U ? anything i show here is from newspaper and link. it is not MY creation. Thanks for your Qs,that is a full-lid. the article from newspaper doesnt mention 'ambidextrus', how do i know? why must i really see the difference between right and left ? if u are in the 1%, what does it mean to u ?
  12. Somescientists have reported that handedness is due to a single gene with righthandedness dominant and left handedness recessive. However, other scientistshave reported that the interaction of two genes is responsible for this trait. [/linkquote] at least those scientists are arguing about "a single gene, or the interaction of two genes",,,all about genes. Whatever it is trait about lefthanded/righthanded or left thumb over right/right thumb over left, it is all about gene. Hence it is about science. Our traits are gene related. Abstract: Information about genes, traits, and inheritance that supports studentactivities in this module. Includes a pictorial reference of inherited humantraits used in the module's activities, along with inheritance patterns, frequencies, and other interesting facts about each.[link quote] whereas : U don't read that article carefully. How can they release sth about what u said"The article you provided says nothing at all about a tendency towards scienceor maths." on http://learn.genetics.utah.edu ?
  13. http://health.utah.gov/genomics/familyhistory/documents/Family%20Reunion/reference%20guide.pdf here is the link, go to scroll down page 5/7, it illustrates about it, very interesting article too good not to share with guys here.
  14. who can find a picture of Einstein who sits there folds his hands naturally ? or other scientists' pics ? it works on me, my family and most of my friends. ok i just found one. observe.......his hands. right thumb over his left thumb.
  15. i said : "more likely to be....." , not saying 100% to be. so u are good at math, physics and chemistry ?
  16. i once read an article in newspaper(sorry i cant provide the reference), it says when clasp your hands at will, finding your right thumb over your left thumb makes u feel more comfortable than your left hand thumb over your right hand thumb, it shows u are more likely to be a science student who is good at math, physics, chemistry and the like. if you find it is your right hand thumb under your left hand thumb, u are more likely to be an arts student who is not so good at math, physics and chemistry and the like. it is decided by gene. try and see. do it the way u feel more comfortable to clasp your hands.
  17. i take vitamin pills very often(for years), in a belief it is good for my health. (but now i doubt it) recently friends told me taking grapeseed oil daily can improve our immune system and grapeseed oil contains natural anti-oxidents which make u look younger. i once heard experts said although anti-oxidents in grapeseed oil is good for health&skin and can improve our immune system, our body can NOT absorb it much. my Q is : 1.Can our body absorb anti-oxidents from grapeseed oil ? how much we can absorb ? above 50% ?? if it is, can it also improve our immune system and do good for our health & skin by taking it every day after/before meal ? 2. can we take vitamin pills often ? if no, why not ? thanks a lot.
  18. here is the link: http://www.webmd.com/allergies/guide/allergies-sinusitis
  19. hello, dunno u still watch this topic or not, this is what i can help : i guess u developed into chronic sinusitis. Chronic sinusitis. Warm moist air may alleviate sinus congestion. A vaporizer or inhaling steam from a pan of boiling water (removed from heat) may also help. Warm compresses are useful to relieve pain in the nose and sinuses. Saline nose drops are also safe for home use. Use of nonprescription decongestant nasal drops or sprays might be effective in controlling symptoms, however, they should not be used beyond their recommended use. Antibiotics or oral steroids may also be prescribed. If you suffer from severe chronic sinusitis, oral steroids might be prescribed to reduce inflammation -- usually only when other medications have not worked. Antibiotics will be prescribed for any bacterial infection found in the sinuses (antibiotics are not effective against a viral infection). An antihistamine may be recommended for the treatment of allergies. Antifungal medicine may be prescribed for a fungal sinus infection. Immunoglobulin (antibodies) may be given if you have certain immune deficiencies. [ taking one kind of medicine for a long time of course will get u drug tolerance and have side effects. just stop using it.]
  20. it is like the palms lose the ability to secrete lubricant which makes hands moist and smooth. none of doctors can cure that illness. i asked her to use olive oil, but it doesnt work at all. so how do u keep your palm moist in winter if it gets worse ?
  21. since her childhood my cousin has been tortured by an embarrassing illness, extremely dry&peeling palms almost throughtout the year.(except the temperature is above 30 (°C) the condition can be less worse.) the symptons : extremely dryness, peeling off on plams; her face is dry & peels off too, especially in cool and cold days. only in very hot weather, the condition can get less worse. forget to mention, her heels are dry and peels off too. the hotter the weather the better for her illness. she is the only person who gets this annoying disease in our family, none of the medicine can cure her palm(doctors give her up). none of the handcream works(the more often she applies cream to her palms the worse the palms look like, so she only uses it before bedtime); the healthy diet seems not helpful at all.(including eating fresh veggies and fruit, avoiding spicy and junk food, avoiding handwashing with soap, etc) we guess it is due to her gene problem. how do u guys think ? why this peeling off illness cant be cured at all ?? it is so weird. is it possible this annoying illness can be passed to her kids in future ?
  22. my friend's baby, one year old, loves to shriek when parents cant satisfy her need, and also scream very loud when she refuses her mom to hold her (her dad stays with and takes care of her most of time since she was born). can we say this one year old baby whose father is more positively engaged with her at the age of three months has fewer behavioural problems ? Is shriek/screaming behavior for only one year old baby normal ?? does it show the baby is most likely a short-tempered girl ?
  23. Quote: [My point is to develop HEIS through following steps: 1. to alloy my brain with machine.] Aside from others, how do u alloy your brain with machine ? i wonder demi-robot ?
  24. so what is accurate ? i dont think nothing in my post sounds reasonable. reading acne on face is the same as reading palms, which proves to indicate some hidden disease u have, same goes to reading grey hair on our head. whatever u boo at what i said, i still stick to my theory.
