The ball, like everything in the universe, moves along the geodesic. The ball is 'at rest' when there is some force preventing the movement along the geodesic, e.g. the ground. Remove the impediment, and the ball moves along the geodesic. No magic. Science. try some. If you're going to try to contradict General Relativity, you should at least know a little about what you're arguing against.

Because 'downhill' is simply following the geodesic. It's not 'down', and there's nothing pulling from under the sheet. THERE IS NO UNDER THE SHEET. It's an analogy, not a model.

This is unsupported nonsense. If it's not in the trash, it belongs in speculations.

The proton is not a fundamental particle. It consists of quarks. This has been experimentally confirmed. In that case, why hasn't the universe dissolved into a sea of radiation? But we have created and held antimatter for as long as 16 minutes. There is no gravitational repulsion observed. Again, this is contrary to actual observation. Except they don't. From where? You say REmaterializing, this seems to imply that it's been 'materialized' before. This doesn't mean anything. No, they're not. They're bound by the weak force. Incredible. Almost every statement in incorrect. This is an Antitheory.

Electrons don't orbit the nucleus. They exist in probability 'clouds' called orbitals. Action at a distance on the quantum level has been experimentally confirmed.

I'm not sure what this means. I'm not sure this means anything. All this time and you still don't know that dark energy and dark mass are two totally different things, and the only thing they have in common is the word 'dark'.

This is just word salad.

Well if things are moving apart, then if you reverse the arrow of time, things are closer than they are now. Because the distances between clusters is not decreasing today. Yes, gravity is stronger than the expansion up to distances of 200 million lys. The Virgo supercluster, which includes both Andromeda and the Milky Way, is gravitationally bound. Because the initial inflationary impulse was far higher than it is today. Why do you post on a topic which you have no knowledge of?

If there is no universal frame of reference then how can time dilation occur?
ACG52 replied to davidaw's topic in Relativity
Which would seem to support the idea that time is a part of physical reality. What you do with it in your head is your business, but it really doesn't effect reality. -
15 Newtons? That's as much force as a 1.53 Kg mass. The effect should be easy to see, the bike should fall over.

Our solar system isn't filled with particles. It's a pretty good vacuum. Those particles which are floating around in space are certainly not dense enough to be a medium. Furthermore, we can produce an even better vacuum in a lab setting, and measure the speed of light in that. The measured value matches the calculated value. BTW, the glow in the picture you posted are not particles or plasma, they're stars.

There's no math in the paper. What you've done is simply to make up a couple of meaningless expressions by combining letters and mathematical operators. There's no evidence or derivation of any kind.

But this isn't an art apprectiation site. This is a science site. And that's what we're asking you to supply, and that's what you have a lack of. This is not your blog. If you post here, you will be challenged. To paraphrase Harry Truman, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the laboratory."

Does inertial differential force mass acceleration?
ACG52 replied to rwjefferson's topic in Speculations
Always. Never. By definition. Is there a language problem? Anyway, no. You don't seem to know any elementary physics. So I suppose you're correct. -
Anybody understand that?

Since the op doesn't wish to discuss the issue any further, perhaps it's time for the trash for this thread.

The insulating effect is caused by the air that's trapped between the hair. When it stands up it traps more air than when it's lying flat.

How does moving your legs forward propel you in swimming?
ACG52 replied to CuriousBanker's topic in Physics
The motion of your legs propels water backwards, which pushes you forward. -
No math, no mas.

He's not talking about the solar system's orbital velocity in the galaxy, or the Earth's in the solar system. He simply ignores that. He's talking about the fact that the Local Galactic Group is moving at about 600km/s in the general direction of the Virgo constellation. He's fixated on that movement, and making empty assertions.
-
Yes, we do. Tidal deformation transfers angular momentum to the moon, and as a result, it's orbit increases. No, in order to enable liquid water, it must have had an atmosphere. Given an atomosphere, Mars can sustain liquid water right where it is. And you've never explained what force is moving the stars outward. Nor any mechanism to generate matter. Or are you just waving your hand and saying, 'here a miracle happens'?
-
This thread now belongs in Speculation.
-
Given that the predictions of GR have been verified to extreme degrees of accuracy, I'd have to say that your above assertion is false.
-
You've never explained what causes outward star movement. Saying it's the creation of matter in the center is no explanation. What force causes outward movement? Indeed, if there was matter creation in the galactic center, it would only increase the gravitational force and would pull stars INWARD.
