problem: What is the pH of a solution made by combining equal volumes of 0.100 M sodium propanoate and 0.100 M propanoic acid? (the Ka of propanoic acid (HC3H5O2) is 1.3 x 10^-5)
Can I use the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation? If I do, for the [A-]/[HA] part of the equation, could I plug in (0.200 M C3H5O2- / 0.100 M HC3H5O2) ?
