  1. You are wonderful, thank you!
  2. Hi everyone, Not sure if anyone on here will be educated on this sort of topic (or if I'm even in the right topic here), but I thought I'd give it a shot. I would go to a scientific community before any other public forum. Anyway, I am 22, and I was just diagnosed with Inattentive ADHD. My doctor decided to put me on 100 mg Wellbutrin for 2 weeks to see if I see any results. He said that although it's an antidepressant, it has shown to help adults with Primarily Inattentive ADHD. My question is: Does anyone know anything about this drug and, more specifically, how it could affect the "ADHD brain"? I know it's a different kind of antidepressant in the sense that it does not increase serotonin levels (even though some sources say it does?); just dopamine and norepinephrine. Also, if anyone knows anything about other possible options to help reduce the symptoms associated with I-ADHD I would appreciate any info! Thanks!
  3. I think of Pauli's Exclusion Principle simply as: No two electrons can share the same set of four quantum numbers.
  4. Thank you so much! I'm glad someone like you replied...will definitely check that out! LOL! Thanks! I've actually considered the Body Farm as well. So many interesting places to donate your body!
  5. Anyone aware of some whole-body donation programs? I am thinking I will eventually want to donate my body to medical education, but I am unsure of where to start researching something like this. Thanks in advance!
  6. It is so nice to see people say this instead of it "being a choice" because there is scientific evidence that supports the idea that people can be born with a brain that "doesn't fit with their body". There is a very small area (I believe in or near the hypothalamus) called the BST nucleus. In females, this area is ~30% smaller than a male's. There have been findings during autopsies of some transexuals that show they have the "wrong" BST nucleus or studies that explain an increased/decreased amount of testosterone surges while in the womb, that can affect the person's sexual orientation. It really is quite fascinating, and again, it is nice to see people openly discussing it... Lots of respect sent your way!
  7. What else would you need to have an idea?
  8. To me, it looks like some sort of branching fungus. Anyone able to identify what this could be? It was originally discovered growing inside a plastic container in my bathroom that was filled with some old earrings that were not fully cleaned. I am assuming the dead skin cells are what it was feeding off of. After stumbling upon this, I transferred some of the spore-like pieces into a plastic vial with some of the (for lack of a better word) "gunk" from the earrings. The fungus grew at a fairly quick rate; there was a noticeable increase of them within just a few days. ....Excuse my amateur vocabulary -- I have not taken Microbiology yet in school!
  9. MY NAME IS MADYSON, AND I'M STUDYING BIOLOGY AND MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY AT SCHOOL. PRIOR TO THIS, I FINISHED 2 YEARS AS AN ILLUSTRATION MAJOR AT A PRIVATE ART SCHOOL UNTIL I DISCOVERED MY TRUE PASSION WAS FOR MEDICINE. NOW, I HOPE TO ONE DAY FIND MYSELF IN THE FIELD OF LABORATORY SCIENCE- SPECIFICALLY IN A FORENSICS LAB- AND BE ABLE TO PUT MY ARTISTIC TALENT TO USE AS WELL.
