NH4NO3 is not a little bang they used it in Quarrying for demolition, its a high explosive and it requires another explosive to set it off IE a primary explosive

well 1ml of water weighs 1g so your telling me about 1cm3 of magnesium weighs 0.5g i never new that, huh its is true you learn something new every day

if you go to a camping shop you can buy firelighters which is a bar of magnesium just file it down, if they dont know what they are tell them you scrape the bar with steel and it produces sparks. or if that costs about £8 you might as well buy 50g of magnesium powder from http://www.kno3.com

cost effective i dont think it would be worth it i would have 490g of mercury to sell so i woul get about £45 but in order to sell it i would have to get a licence which might cost who knows say £70 and already i am down on profit then i have to get a store which would cost more money, see not a very cost effective way of making money is it:))

i know thats why i thought of extracting because 500g is a little to excssive, and i wont be able to get rid of the rest

on the other hand how much would about 1 kilo of cinnabar rock cost because i can extract the mercury from that
