    Abortion

If I drew the line of when a fetus can be acknowledged as a baby, it would be at the end of the 2nd trimester, or perhaps at some point where the fetus has survived after the earliest known cesarean section. I know this sounds arbitrary, but it seems that we should establish a line where no abortions are allowed. Does anyone have any comments of when a theoretically cloned human, actually becomes a human.? That is to say, when did "Dolly the sheep" become a sheep?
  2. As far as I know, only 59 countries are expected to ratify the treaty.
  3. We're a nation founded by Judaio Christians. Our 200+ year old constitution reflects Judaio Christian beliefs. Thus, the majority of Americans believe that executions are morally acceptable.
  4. "Morally" is subjective. Apparently the bible sees it as morally right, and the jury sees it as legally and perhaps morally right.
  5. All trial by jury executions have been lawful. Lawful IS the point, you brought it up. To my knowledge, there have been NO proven cases of wrongful executions, there are several cases of suspected wrongful executions. Where did you get this from? If anything, killers label and process their victims, rather than look at them as indivuals.
  6. If you look at the schematic, you can see that the tap is 200 turns from ground.
  7. Consider it a war, a terrorist kills an ally, you kill the terrorist. That's the right that the state gives you.
  8. If you're talking about vigilante executions, YES, all unlawful. If you're talking about judge/jury sanctioned executions, NO, all lawful. Yes, I favor execution, I'm like a sheep that follows the 60% of Americans that also favor executions. I think it's more like "killer cleansing"

    Abortion

Well, for those who are pro abortion, how do you feel about "partial birth" abortion?? PBA is performed from about the end of the second trimester up to and including the the 9th month.
  10. Thanks Skye, I was waiting for someone to say that.
  11. I apologize, there is no reason why you should remember Willie Horton. Briefly, Gov Mike Dukakis released Willie Horton, a convicted killer, on a furlough program. A few days later, Horton raped a woman.....not sure if he killed her. Anyway, Dukakis (a democrat) was running against Gore for the presidency in the '88 Dem primary. Gore mentioned the furlough program in a debate, but didn't push it. The Duke won the primary, then in the finals, it was Dukakis and Bush Sr. This furlough, followed by the rape, was one of the issues that sunk the Duke and his chance for the presidency.
  12. As far as I know, the price of light and heavy crude oil are set by the global markets. Why should your price be any higher than in the States??? I am currently paying about $1.85 per gallon for regular gasoline.
  13. Well, Blike gave a good reason....... "An innocent person might die" is an argument for improving the court system, not against capital punishment." I suspect (but can't prove) that there have been more innocent victims killed by murderers released from prison, than there have been innocent men convicted of murder. I support execution because it's a deterrent to the person who has been executed. REMEMBER WILLIE HORTON.
  14. Yes, and tell me you weep each time you read of a suicide in the paper.
