  1. The cartograms are an interesting projection. Thanks for posting.
  2. From the 'American thinker' a few months ago. Bush has 600 or 700 hours piloting one of these....... F-102 Delta Dagger
  3. Pangloss, how can you use "Tom Daschle" and "bipartisan" in the same sentence?
  4. When Bush was interviewed by Bill O'Reilly, he was very clear in saying that he did not approve of the 527's and the swift boat ad's If there was a shred of credible evidence that the machines were "rigged" the responsible democrats would be all over it.
  5. Yes JohnB, the tree huggers have no compunction about "laying off" 3000 lumberjacks to save a spotted owl that is now shown to be on it's way to extinction anyway, or preventing the farmers from having their land irrigated because it might be harmful to the habitat of a small fish. And as you say, the "left", who consider the religious folks to be right wing whacko's, have forgotten about the Salvation Army and other religious organizations who help the "poor" and the "down and out". BTW, my wife, who is a registered democrat, but a devout catholic, volunteers her time at the Corpus Christi food kitchen.
  6. Good one John.....I wonder if Jesus was Pro choice.
  7. It seems to me, that given the economic conditions of Ohio, that it was ripe to be plucked by the Democrats. I think that if Kerry had disassociated himself from Moore, Eminem types and the far left Hollywood crowd, as well as backing off on "partial birth abortion", moderating his position on federally funded "stem cell research", he would have carried Ohio and thus the presidency.
  8. Yes, It *does* sum it up nicely. I'm a little concerned about the U.K. 2005 elections though. Notice the stock market lately? Hopefully, the European markets will boom. Might help the E.U.s take a different view of Bush.
  9. Mad'M, it was worth 200 Mil to get Daschle out. I had heard that he was trying to portray himself as a centrist while campaigning in S Dakota. What a joke.
  10. Well, it is kind've scary. Ebonics is an afro American lingo, a dialect with english as it's roots. I think it was the state of Oregon's educational system that tried to get ebonics established as an elective in school......I think they were laughed right out of the school system. Anyway, tune to........to listen http://www.funnyjunk.com/pages/ebonics.htm turn up your volume and enjoy a little ebonics.
  11. Liberals don't drive trucks, they drive Yugo's Conservatives drive pickup trucks, with a shotgun in the rear window of course.
  12. I see it as turning the knife. As for the Sun, I was listening to a Brit on Talk radio, he said that all U.K. newspapers are from a little left of center to far left......No? I'm wondering how Blair will fare in the next election. If Blair loses, does England scrap (move further from the U.S.) it's ties to the U.S. and move closer to the E.U. with Chirac in control?....Or do I have it all wrong?
  13. Guess Chirac is twisting the knife. U.K. Sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2004512444,00.html
  14. Thanks Skye, seems like your labor party is similar to our democratic party, complete with the support of the unions.
  15. You're absolutely right. It appears that a lot of Catholics, and of course the religious nuts voted for him for his stand on partial birth abortion and gay marriage. Some of the younger folks (yes, young people voted for him) may have voted because of his position on social security. BTW, you folk in the U.K. can expect a large influx of disgruntled movie stars, rock and roll people etc.....maybe even George Soros and Michael M..... Just heard that Alex Baldwin is on his way. Of course, these guys are full of SH*T, they wouldn't sacrifice their fat salaries for their principles
  16. Is Tony Blair our only ally in the U.K.?
  17. Atm, Gore commited political suicide when he started the civil war in Florida. Notice that Kerry bowed out graciously, he made political points. Richard Nixon lost to JFK in 1960, Nixon too, bowed out graciously, yet made a comeback in '68 and won. I don't think Kerry is finished, I think you'll see him battling Hillary in the '08 primaries..........and perhaps wiping the floor with her.
  18. Yup, he'll be there hugging a tree.
  19. Sayo, I agree, I was reading BBC website, they were reporting responsibly.
