  1. Yes, the charge is relative to the other plate. What kind of a power source is attached to the capacitor, I.E. ac or dc ?
  2. I believe that SDI (star wars) should be scaled back, but should not stopped. The scaling back to take place only if the money is required for weapons and surveillance systems etc, that are required for effective warfare against terrorist's and guerilla warfare.
  3. Mo-Man, should boy scouts be banned from schools after hours?
  4. Who did the N.E.A. endorse for president? Who did the teacher's unions endorse for president? Who was not allowed to wear a cross to school?
  5. Would you say that teaching oral sex in public schools is conservative? Would you say that requiring a teacher to remove a picture of the President of the U.S. from her desk is being conservative?

    Osama Tape

The way I see it is.....that Haliburton contacted Osama and offered 377 tons of high explosives if he made a speech.

  8. Good dissertation Blike, naturally, I agree with you. You're right, it's not only the litigation and the exorbitant malpractise insurance, but perhaps more important is the "ass cover" of superfluous diagnostics. Yet Kerry says the costs are in the noise.
  9. This taken from a "right" leaning website. Is this myth or reality??
  10. I said this before, I think Kerry bet the farm on this issue, it'll be a little tough to retract.
  11. I should have specified, by major newspapers, I meant the NY times, Washington post, L.A. times, Chicago sun etc. etc. http://www.indolink.com/displayArticleS.php?id=102404112012 http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&lr=&tab=nn&ie=UTF-8&q=major+newspapers+who+support+kerry&btnG=Search+News http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&tab=nn&ie=UTF-8&q=major+newspapers+who+support+kerry&btnmeta%3Dsearch%3Dsearch=Search+the+Web
  12. You're more or less making my point. The issue was genocide. I've read reports that between 50,000 and 300,000 kurds were killed in Iraq. http://www.google.com/search?q=genocide+kurds+killed+iraq&hl=en&lr=&start=10&sa=N And that 50,000 to 100,000 were killed in Sudan. http://news.google.com/news?q=genocide+sudan+people+killed&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=nn&oi=newsr Is there a difference between sending troops to Iraq instead of Sudan?? Or Sudan instead of Iraq??

    Sorry...

I don't think so. Seems to me that last time I checked it (3 weeks ago) it was around 4.5%
  14. B'Hound, I think every major newspaper in the country has endorsed Kerry, except perhaps the "wall street journal", plus, he has the 3 major networks backing him.
  15. Let's be reasonable, How about Luxembourg?

    Abortion

Does that include suicide? Anyway, I'm not pro choice, but I can tolerate abortions up to the 2nd trimester.... In some states you can be convicted of murder or manslaughter for killing the fetus of a pregnant woman, not sure how all this fits in with aborting. Seems like in one case you're just killing a fetus, in the other case you're killing a child.
  17. "This is one of the great blunders of Iraq, one of the great blunders of this administration," Kerry said. Looks like Kerry is betting the farm on this issue. Methinks he should have stuck with the economy.
  18. Yes Mardigan, I think if you throw in Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle and Detroit, the left and right coast would control the entire country.
