http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-08/worlds-largest-solar-and-wind-hydrogen-plant-proposed-for-sa/9526706 'World's largest' solar and wind hydrogen plant proposed for regional SA: A new solar and wind hydrogen plant, which has been dubbed the largest in the world, has been proposed for Crystal Brook in South Australia's Mid North. The Labor Government has committed $25 million in grants and loans to renewable energy company, Neoen, to finalise plans and — pending development approvals — commence construction of a Hydrogen Superhub. The French company also owns and operates the Hornsdale Wind Farm in Jamestown, SA, the site of the Tesla lithium-ion battery. If approved for construction, the site will create up to 260 jobs during the planning and construction phase, with 40 ongoing positions once the site is operational. The Crystal Brook facility will produce up to 400 megawatts of solar and wind power each day, which will power the site's hydrogen 'electrolyser' to potentially produce 20,000 kilograms of hydrogen daily. The SA Government has said that exporting the hydrogen products created at the plant to markets in Asia was a possibility. more at link......

I believe we have enough evidence of threads that you started on this forum, [and subsequently were closed for spamming,] unsupported claims on a science forum, aggressive remarks and implied conspiracies, to see that it is you wanting to bicker and squabble, because you are not allowed a free hand to do what you want and say without a shred of scientific evidence. Again there are many aspects that contribute to inflation: Again you need to brush up on accepted definitions and meanings and not make up your own.

I refer you to...... https://theconversation.com/the-freak-warm-arctic-weather-is-unusual-but-getting-less-so-92590 which along with other points you seemed to have missed, are made in the "beast from the east" thread.

Probably a myriad of many things. read the article. But as I'm sure you know, whatever the point your pushing is, that this is simply flogging a dead horse: We could not operate without money.

Neither does this fabricated line in your opening post...... Money, is as defined here..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money "Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a particular country or socio-economic context.[1][2][3]The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, sometimes, a standard of deferred payment.[4][5] Any item or verifiable record that fulfills these functions can be considered as money. Money is historically an emergent market phenomenonestablishing a commodity money, but nearly all contemporary money systems are based on fiat money.[4] Fiat money, like any check or note of debt, is without use valueas a physical commodity. It derives its value by being declared by a government to be legal tender; that is, it must be accepted as a form of payment within the boundaries of the country, for "all debts, public and private".[6] The money supply of a country consists of currency (banknotes and coins) and, depending on the particular definition used, one or more types of bank money (the balances held in checking accounts, savings accounts, and other types of bank accounts). Bank money, which consists only of records (mostly computerized in modern banking), forms by far the largest part of broad money in developed countries". :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html The Hubble Ultra-Deep Field in Light and Sound Explanation: Have you heard about the Hubble Ultra-Deep Field? Either way, you've likely not heard about it like this -- please run your pointer over the featured image and listen! The Hubble Ultra-Deep Field(HUDF) was created in 2003-2004 with the Hubble Space Telescope staring for a long time toward near-empty space so that distant, faint galaxies would become visible. One of the most famous images in astronomy, the HUDF is featured here in a vibrant way -- with sonified distances. Pointing to a galaxy will play a note that indicates its approximate redshift. Because redshifts shift light toward the red end of thespectrum of light, they are depicted here by a shift of tone toward the low end of the spectrum of sound. The further the galaxy, the greater its cosmological redshift (even if it appears blue), and the lower the tone that will be played. The average galaxy in the HUDF is about 10.6 billion light years away and sounds like an F#. What's the most distant galaxy you can find? This Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is based on an entryof new site called Astronomy Sound of the Month (AstroSoM). <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Great Innovation!!

https://phys.org/news/2018-03-chemical-sleuthing-unravels-path-life.html Chemical sleuthing unravels possible path to forming life's building blocks in space March 5, 2018, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Scientists have used lab experiments to retrace the chemical steps leading to the creation of complex hydrocarbons in space, showing pathways to forming 2-D carbon-based nanostructures in a mix of heated gases. The latest study, which featured experiments at the Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), could help explain the presence of pyrene, which is a chemical compound known as a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, and similar compounds in some meteorites. A team of scientists, including researchers from Berkeley Lab and UC Berkeley, participated in the study, published March 5 in the Nature Astronomy journal. The study was led by scientists at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and also involved theoretical chemists at Florida International University. "This is how we believe some of the first carbon-based structures evolved in the universe," said Musahid Ahmed, a scientist in Berkeley Lab's Chemical Sciences Division who joined other team members to perform experiments at Berkeley Lab's Advanced Light Source (ALS). However, the fundamental reaction mechanisms leading to the synthesis of PAHs beyond phenanthrene (C14H10) are still unknown. By exploring the reaction of the 4-phenanthrenyl radical (C14H9•) with acetylene (C2H2) under conditions prevalent in carbon-rich circumstellar environments, we show evidence of a facile, isomer-selective formation of pyrene (C16H10). Along with the hydrogen-abstraction/vinylacetylene-addition (HAVA) mechanism, molecular mass growth processes from pyrene may lead through systematic ring expansions not only to more complex PAHs, but ultimately to 2D graphene-type structures. These fundamental reaction mechanisms are crucial to facilitate an understanding of the origin and evolution of the molecular universe and, in particular, of carbon in our Galaxy.

As an amateur I'm open to correction, but the way I see it, is that SR is simply a "subset" or special case of GR, and neglects gravitational effects. Also the fact that the speed of light is a finite constant, leads to the conclusion that it is space and time that is variable and that there is no universal applicable now. Yes, time and space are relative as mentioned previously, and as a body approaches "c" its relativistic mass increases approaching infinity, and hence why reaching "c" is impossible.

Sure you do! You have been given many links that list valid explanations to the perceived problems you imagine, yet you seem to ignore them. And while at this time there maybe some gaps within our knowledge, you are offering no alternative. And one is certainly taken aback by some of the precise figures you mention in supposed support of the anomalies you imagine. Again, one observing your confusing style, could be forgiven for imagining you trying to insert a "god of the gaps" type of scenario. I hope I am wrong with that and apologise if I am.

Yes and this isn't it. PS; Even there though it needs to undergo proper scientific scrutiny.

https://phys.org/news/2018-03-species-ravens-nevermore-evidence-speciation.html Two species of ravens nevermore? New research finds evidence of 'speciation reversal' For over a century, speciation—where one species splits into two—has been a central focus of evolutionary research. But a new study almost 20 years in the making suggests "speciation reversal"—where two distinct lineages hybridize and eventually merge into one—can also be extremely important. The paper, appearing March 2 in Nature Communications, provides some of the strongest evidence yet of the phenomenon, in two lineages of Common Ravens."The bottom line is [speciation reversal] is a natural evolutionary process, and it's probably happened in hundreds or almost certainly thousands of lineages all over the planet," said Kevin Omland, professor of biological sciences at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and co-author on the new study. "One of our biggest goals is to just have people aware of this process, so when they see interesting patterns in their data, they won't say, 'That must be a mistake,' or, 'That's too complicated to be correct.'"Read more at: https://phys.org/news/2018-03-species-ravens-nevermore-evidence-speciation.html#jCp <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-018-03294-w Genomic evidence of speciation reversal in ravens: Abstract: Many species, including humans, have emerged via complex reticulate processes involving hybridisation. Under certain circumstances, hybridisation can cause distinct lineages to collapse into a single lineage with an admixed mosaic genome. Most known cases of such ‘speciation reversal’ or ‘lineage fusion’ involve recently diverged lineages and anthropogenic perturbation. Here, we show that in western North America, Common Ravens (Corvus corax) have admixed mosaic genomes formed by the fusion of non-sister lineages (‘California’ and ‘Holarctic’) that diverged ~1.5 million years ago. Phylogenomic analyses and concordant patterns of geographic structuring in mtDNA, genome-wide SNPs and nuclear introns demonstrate long-term admixture and random interbreeding between the non-sister lineages. In contrast, our genomic data support reproductive isolation between Common Ravens and Chihuahuan Ravens (C. cryptoleucus) despite extensive geographic overlap and a sister relationship between Chihuahuan Ravens and the California lineage. These data suggest that the Common Raven genome was formed by secondary lineage fusion and most likely represents a case of ancient speciation reversal that occurred without anthropogenic causes.

Unprecedentedly wide and sharp dark matter map March 2, 2018, Subaru Telescope Figure 1: 2 dimensional dark matter map estimated by weak lensing technique. The dark matter is concentrated in dense clumps. We can identify massive dark matter halos (indicated by oranges circles). The area shown in this figure is approximately 30 square degrees (a total of 160 square degrees were observed this time). The distribution map without the orange circles is available here. Credit: NAOJ/University of Tokyo A research team of multiple institutes, including the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and University of Tokyo, released an unprecedentedly wide and sharp dark matter map based on the newly obtained imaging data by Hyper Suprime-Cam on the Subaru Telescope. The dark matter distribution is estimated by the weak gravitational lensing technique (Figure 1, Movie). The team located the positions and lensing signals of the dark matter halos and found indications that the number of halos could be inconsistent with what the simplest cosmological model suggests. This could be a new clue to understanding why the expansion of the Universe is accelerating. HSC is a new prime focus optical imager with a 1.5 diameter field of view on the 8.2- meter Subaru telescope. The superb median seeing on the HSC i-band images of 0.56 arcsec allows the reconstruction of high angular resolution mass maps via weak lensing, which is crucial for the weak lensing cluster search. We identify 65 mass map peaks with signal-tonoise (SN) ratio larger than 4.7, and carefully examine their properties by cross-matching the clusters with optical and X-ray cluster catalogs. We find that all the 39 peaks with SN> 5.1 have counterparts in the optical cluster catalogs, and only 2 out of the 65 peaks are probably false positives. The upper limits of X-ray luminosities from ROSAT All Sky Survey (RASS) imply

Seems to be a personal blog of some unscientific nut. And again, the apparent number of extreme events, does point to an acceleration in the now confirmed aspect of human induced climate change. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Supplementary article and paper.......... https://phys.org/news/2018-03-earlier-polar-regions-rest-earth.html Spring is springing earlier in polar regions than across the rest of earth March 2, 2018, UC Davis Spring is arriving earlier, but how much earlier? The answer depends where on Earth you find yourself, according to a study led by the University of California, Davis. The study, published in Nature's online journal Scientific Reports, found that for every 10 degrees north from the equator you move, spring arrives about four days earlier than it did a decade ago. This northward increase in the rate of springtime advance is roughly three times greater than what previous studies have indicated. For example, at southern to mid latitudes such as Los Angeles, New Orleans, or Dallas, the study suggests spring might be arriving a mere one day earlier than it did a decade ago. Farther north, in Seattle, Chicago, or Washington DC, it might be arriving four days earlier. And if you live in the Arctic, it might be arriving as much as 16 days earlier. Read more at: https://phys.org/news/2018-03-earlier-polar-regions-rest-earth.html#jCp <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-22258-0 Acceleration of phenological advance and warming with latitude over the past century: Abstract: In the Northern Hemisphere, springtime events are frequently reported as advancing more rapidly at higher latitudes, presumably due to an acceleration of warming with latitude. However, this assumption has not been investigated in an analytical framework that simultaneously examines acceleration of warming with latitude while accounting for variation in phenological time series characteristics that might also co-vary with latitude. We analyzed 743 phenological trend estimates spanning 86 years and 42.6 degrees of latitude in the Northern Hemisphere, as well as rates of Northern Hemisphere warming over the same period and latitudinal range. We detected significant patterns of co-variation in phenological time series characteristics that may confound estimates of the magnitude of variation in trends with latitude. Notably, shorter and more recent time series tended to produce the strongest phenological trends, and these also tended to be from higher latitude studies. However, accounting for such variation only slightly modified the relationship between rates of phenological advance and latitude, which was highly significant. Furthermore, warming has increased non-linearly with latitude over the past several decades, most strongly since 1998 and northward of 59°N latitude. The acceleration of warming with latitude has likely contributed to an acceleration of phenological advance along the same gradient.

Hmmm, Interesting to say the least. Like any issue regarding warp drive possibilities, sadly its afair way off as yet before we can have the technological know how to achieve it. Not contravening SR and GR is certainly in its favour. I would hazard a guess and say that JPL would be giving it at least some consideration. I also found a discussion on it here...... https://www.quora.com/Is-the-Alcubierre-Froning-Drive-a-legitimate-possibility-for-faster-than-light-travel

Whew!! That's a sigh of relief, as I just came across some silly link from creation ministeries that these assumed mysteries, are implications for special creation. I won't even give them nuts the satisfaction of giving that link.

I'm rather curious that you seem to want to reject some of the admittedly assumptions and hypotheticals with regards to the bodies in the solar system, with your own assumptions and wild guesses. Since the Voyagers, and more recently the HST, we have learnt much about the outer planets and moons, but just as obviously, we have had to assume other aspects to exxplain what is observed. I believe NASA and the professional cosmologists are pretty close to the mark. Perhaps more to the point, since you reject these explanations, perhaps you would like to give your own "scientific view" as to what is causing what we observe? Perhaps we can then have a "smile" In the meantime here are some more links...... https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/nasa-missions-provide-new-insights-into-ocean-worlds-in-our-solar-system http://www.skyandtelescope.com/astronomy-news/enceladus-hydrothermal-heating-confirmed-1304201723/ and of course the soon to be launched JWST will give us even more clues.

Thanks Ken, I knew there would be a valid scientific explanation for it, it was just escaping me at the time.

I'll put in 3 cents worth! Personally I really don't give a stuff about religion and religious people one way or the other...I take each one on their merits. If they stick to there myth without bothering me, and/or trying to project their myths into science, or installing their nonsensical "god of the gaps" explanation, then I leave them in peace. But in every field we will always have the fanatical, zealous and others that imagine themselves on a white charger out to stick it up science whenever they get the urge. Obviously science has pushed the necessity of any deity and/or magical spaghetti monster into near oblivion, and this naturally enrages those same zealous, fanatics and god botherers. The Catholic church, [god bless their cotton picking little souls] now even accept the theory of evolution and the BB, but then once again, in comes their god of the gaps! Science though proceeds in the continued search for knowledge and pushing back and invalidating supernatural and paranormal nonsense. If it were not for science, we would still be swinging in the trees.

OK, firstly I'm no expert in climate change and sadly and unforgivably do not really know enough about it, other then to say I'm slowly rectifying that, and in any stretch of the imagination, I'm sure most reasonable thinking people, those without any agenda or self interests in fossil fuel productions and such, would agree with the principal that even if there is any doubt as to catastrophic human induced climate change, one should err on the side of caution...for the sake of those that are following us. My interest was aroused by two articles...[1] concerning the incredible snow falls and freezing temperatures in Britain, North America and Europe in recent times, coupled with the seemingly contradicting fact that temperatures in the Arctic are much higher then normal. The articles concerned are..... https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/feb/28/what-does-snow-mean-climate-change-beast-from-the-east-polar-vortex-freezing-temperature Q&A: What does all this snow mean for climate change? and https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/feb/27/arctic-warming-scientists-alarmed-by-crazy-temperature-rises Arctic warming: scientists alarmed by 'crazy' temperature rises <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> One point I did learn a few years ago, was that the rather crazy weather patterns, with a seemingly increase in extreme weather events, was evident of human induced global warming and climate change. Wow! Every second post of yours in all your threads seem to indicate that you have somewhat of a chip/log on your shoulder. Well that seems to be par for the course, considering that you also ignore any and all professional relevant authoritive advice on any and all issues you seem to want to argue on. An Interesting project now completed in South Australia thanks to Elon Musk..... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-12-05/yes-sa-battery-is-a-massive-battery-but-it-can-do-more/9227288 "Last Friday, the "world's largest" lithium-ion battery was officially opened in South Australia. Tesla's much-anticipated "mega battery" made the "100 days or it's free" deadline, after a week of testing and commissioning. Unsurprisingly, the project has attracted a lot of attention, both in Australia and abroad. This is largely courtesy of high-profile Tesla chief executive Elon Musk, not to mention the series of Twitter exchanges that sparked off the project in the first place. Many are now watching on in anticipation to see what impact the battery has on the SA electricity market, and whether it could be a gamechanger nationally". <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Not sure what subsidies if any are involved, but certainly a great boost to clean efficient energy.

Moreno, your incredulity in general is unfounded: Besides gravitational interactions, tidal perturbations, radioactivity, thermo-nuclear fusion etc, the Gaseous giants energy output can be explained by continued gravitational shrinking or collapse. https://www.windows2universe.org/saturn/interior/S_evolution_contraction.html
