  1. I agree with your above statement, morality needs to be in check always, otherwise we would have horrific scientific experiments etc... What I was trying to convey is that scientific data all points toward world wide human extinction unless something is not done EXACTLY the way scientists have figured out to prevent it. Politicians are not educated enough to make these types of decisions, scientists are.
  2. They are failing to listen to the imperical data provided by many scientists world wide. Pollution, global warming, overpopulation, and other catastrophic consequences will take place if they are not addressed in realistic way, and the result will be human extinction.
  3. Politicians need to start listening, or be made to listen to scientific data. Think about it for a second, its like allowing a young man (politician) to drive a car off of a cliff killing all passengers inside, while the older adult (scientist) was powerless to stop him because the kid choose not to listen to his warnings. Serriously speaking scientists understand what changes need to be done in order to secure the human race from eventual extinction. If we continue to let the politicians make the laws and not the scientists, then the human race is destined for extinction.
  4. On second thought forget the intelligence part, I dont think Solenopsis Invicta the size of rats would need any intelligence to cause the extinction of mankind, we are doing a good enough job at that already. What they would do is push humanity into doing something really ignorant such as poisoning ourselves to death or something allong those lines. Eventually they would take over the world, but only after humanity had handed it to them. "take over" is the act or an instance of assuming control or management of or responsibility for something, especially the seizure of power.
  5. People need to start thinking of the world as 1 single liveing entity as opposed to the most popular ideaology of "whats yours is mine and whats mine is mine." Modern transportation makes it possible to travel anywhere (world wide) in less then 24 hours. So a person that brings back with him a highly contageous (fast killer) virus, you forget about finding a cure, its "hosta lavista" humankind.
  6. The brain requires huge ammounts of protein to develope, chimps eat vegetation for the most part but when they do get meat occasionaly they go into super selfish mode and become very hostile. I think we need to start feeding chimps more meat, then you will see... In about a million years or so.
  7. Solenopsis Invicta Clone me a queen the size of a rat, and ile show you an army that could bring the world to its knees in 5 years. A queen produces a colony of over 200,000 stinging ants per mound and hundreds of queens each summer. The mounds would be over 1,000 feet tall and cover an area equal to the size of europe.
  8. I have never seen an extraterrestrial from another planet but that doesnt mean they dont exist. The government might know about them but I doubt it. Extraterrestrial space ships visiting earth would have nothing to gain in contacting us, humanity is paranoid, violent, and ignorant. I believe the 1st requirement for a species to survive long enough to advance beyond the elementry level of human scientific understanding would be for them to resequence their genome and throw away any agression and greed, then replace it with pure reason. Humanity is so ignorant, they are overpopulateing, depleating, and contaminateing the earth to no end. According to Steven Hawking if our planet continues to overpopulate the earth as it does, then the ammount of energy that will be needed to support the human race in the next 700 years will be so great the earth will glow red hot like the sun.
  9. What makes galaxies spin? Why so much empty space between galaxies? Are all galaxies as old as the "big bang?" Do galaxies live forever?
  10. An army of ants, that can think.. Would they take over the world?
  11. Humanity will eventually come to and end because of... overpopulation, disease, starvation, war, nuclear destruction, politics, greed, other, or all the above.
  12. Meat Personally I think it was the meat, our brains require large ammounts of protein and it was when we first started eating lots of meat that our brains began to develop higher reasoning faculties. I think harris had the right idea.
  13. Actually NASA currently funds a development team that studys the possibilities of faster then light travel. They hypothesize that antimater reactors or worm holes might hold a key in getting us to the other side of the galaxy. Pure speculation at this point, but they seem to agree that it is worth looking into.
  14. Yes the four known forces; gravity, electromagnetism, strong force, and weak force. Gravity is the force acting between all mass in the universe and has infinate range, electromagnetism is the force that acts between electrically charged particles and has infinite range, strong force is the force that binds neutrons and protons together and is short range, and weak force is the force that causes beta decay and is short range. These four known forces came into existance (or perhaps even before) just seconds after the "big bang". The resulting explosion ejected matter into six basic directions, (up, down, left, right, foward, backward) resulting in six seperate dimensions. Each of the six directions push outward creating spacetime and seperate dimensions with unique patterns of matter and energy. Each direction defineing its opposite.
  15. The general idea is that you can increase the physical dimension of a given object by adding to its total mass. If too much mass is added then its own gravitational force crushes it reduceing the size. Total mass remains the same but now you just lost your size. However my original deffinition of size is "the physical extent or dimensions of anything", hat being said, size is not limited to just mass and energy but anything that can be observed as haveing a dimension. As always I welcome ideas, hypotheses, and theorys.
  16. An octahedron is a three-dimensional figure with eight flat surfaces. A polyhedron with eight plane surfaces would be the same, and it could be used in my example above as the idea would remain the same.
  17. I see what you are saying, and I understand. Allow me to a few more thoughts After an explosion inertia throws matter in all six directions. The reason those six directions are so relevant is because of what happens in each direction when time begins to expand and things begin to change. Think of each direction as a fingerprint, with a recorded history, all six directions unique.
  18. I understand the basics of (length x width x height) measurment, but what I am trying to convey is a new idea of thinking in spacetime dimensions. All six directions in an explosion can represent time being created as all matter in the universe pushes outward. All six directions have an oposite of direction to one another and those opposites represent time.
  19. Picture a cube, now picture an explosion inside that cube, all six sides of that cube will represent each dimension of the initial explosion, up, down, left, right, foward, backward. I understand that up, down, foward, backward are the only relivant forces needed to form a 3rd dimension, however matter and energy explode in all six directions forming six dimensional lines through spacetime.
  20. It is believed that neutrinos contain practically zero mass, the heaviest of the 3 probably being about 0.05 electron volts, or about one billionth the mass of a proton. This mass, while the smallest yet observed might account for much of the mass in the universe.
  21. Size; the physical extent or dimensions of anything. Is size simply a strict subjective comparison to property (energy or matter) haveing no absolute or limit? Is size limitless? I welcome Ideas, Hypotheses, and Thery.
  22. So you go in favor of the basic principles of Inertia, that is "a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless changed by an external force". Why do you think all matter is speeding up from the point of explosion as opposed to remaining constant? I welcome any Ideas, Hypotheses, or theory on this subject.
  23. A singularity of infinate mass and density explodes creating spacetime and our known universe in what is widely known as the "big bang" theory. 15 billion years later scientists have deducted that the universe is expanding at an exponential rate and is showing no signs of slowing down (the expansion is actually speeding up). Many theorized that the universe would slow down in its expansion and eventually collapse into what is dubbed the "big crunch", but modern scientific data has proved the exact opposite, the universe is expanding faster every second and no real concrete answers as to why... Please express your ideas and share your opinions, anyone have a theory? Expansion forever, collapse forever, collapse then expand again, or other?
