  1. What is plasma other than very hot energy full of motion? Sounds like primitive particles to me. 99% sounds possible.
  2. No I think I see what he is trying to say, unless i'm just insane and have found another person just as crazy as I am. He is being very broad so maybe i'm interpreting what he is saying the way I want to. Otherwise its a rather large concept and trying to write it out would just make it sound more complex.
  3. Nobody ever understand my questions the problem is my education is so shitty. I'm trying to encompass something big but I have a small vocabulary.
  4. Okay so basically if its not transparent then it is reflected off the surface and no photons permeate through?
  5. Actually it sounds like you agree with me I just wasn't really sure. O'nero just made it very obvious and the thing about motion. Its just I get shot down so much and told i'm crazy or have no clue what i'm talking about. To actually have someone not disagree with me or even acknowledge what I have to say as legitimate is very reassuring psychologically for me. Thankyou, i'm so used to people not understanding me its hard to tell when someone is.
  6. YES, omfg thankyou finally someone that understand what i'm trying to say!!!!!
  7. I like the physics side of it, just the algebra and geometry side. God forbid the calculus.... I haven't even tried calculus yet. I just cant stand making meaningless conversions but maybe starting college in January having a reason to learn math will get me through it. I guess my first few years will give me time to think. I'm just impatient :/
  8. I'm unsure of what I want to do and need help deciding. physicist/cosmologist - I want to find out what dark energy is and see if my idea of an equation for gravity could be implemented Pro's - I love the physics concepts and am most interested in space. con's - I hate math, although I never saw a point to making conversions and now with physics I do. In the 5th grade I was put in an algebra class for middle school credit and got to leave early because I would finish my problems exceptionally faster than everyone else. I eventually got bored with math and faded away. I'm trying to respark my interest with physics but you have to know math to know physics... Biochemist/engineer - I want to develop a new form of solar power without needing rare elements like silicon. Pro's - I'm kind of interested in new energy. Con's - More math with the chemistry, maybe not as hard as physics though. It wont have my full interest. Psychologist/education - I want to implement a new form of education for all grades especially k-5th. pro's - feel like if anything I ever accomplished had an impact this would be the biggest, very interested in psychology. con's - Nobody can take a psychologist seriously, most of the work is opinionated and who the hell is going to listen to me about changing the school system even with a P.H.D? Basically cosmology is my biggest interest then psychology, then physics, then new energy. I just don't know what to do. I would love to do them all but I want to do them for a reason and each reason seems like a lifetime of work.
  9. Meh regardless of whether or not the speed of light is constant. We do know it moves at about the same speed wherever we have tested it. two questions What difference does light travel when its not in a vacuum? like when its in glass and things? I understand this has something to do with electron absorption. If we had 2 pounds of lead. one pound in a solid block and one pound in different sized chunks. the block in one particle accelerator and chunks spread apart in another. Would light travel the same distance or would the block absorb more light? I'm sure it would take more than 2 pounds but lets say an equal amount of lead in each accelerator with one having enough lead to fully cover the circumference of the inside of the accelerator.
  10. That was during the summer and I just set up the chairs and umbrellas for tourists visiting the beaches here in Florida. Dolphin communication sounds way better

  11. The only person you should try to change is the person you were yesterday. In changing yourself you can set an example for others.

  12. Hey guys. Regardless of whatever your saying. I'm willing to bet diseases are like snowflakes. An alien wouldn't even let a human on-board their ship, let alone step on our planet. Theirs plenty of resources and minerals floating around in space, what would they want ours for? I'm not saying your wrong, just saying i'm skeptical and willing to bet a species capable of interstellar space travel would look at us in amazement of our stupidity, laugh, and go on about their business doing cool stuff for science in space.
  13. I do, and I agree with you and imatfaal. The ships mass would theoretically grow to the size of the universe if it reached the speed of light. Which physically couldn't happen. So it just throws the whole question out the window. I was just trying to get an understanding of the speed of light with that hypothetical happening. Well what is the fastest an object with rest mass can travel before really odd things start to happen? I guess that question is out of whack to because technically their is no propulsion technique powerfull enough to reach the speed of light. I understand what you guys are saying, thankyou for being patient with me. I'm just a very very curious person.
  14. Ecoli, I was wrong actually. You were correcting me in the first place. Well now we all have a better understanding of the subject. Personally I just feel like theirs people with money calling shots and these special interest groups only help an individual have more influence in our government than 1,000 poor people. I mean you get these groups paying politicians for their campaign, they find out who eachother are and build relationships. Soon enough corporations get to influence a politicians views.
  15. Only a christian morale system gives guidlines? Sounds like a morale viagra to me. Sometimes I think i'm the only person on the planet with a conscience :/
  16. I just meant that I probably wont fully understand everything stated about energy efficiency. I wasn't calling you a dolphin lol.
  17. Yeah thats exactly what private interest groups are. I'm guessing your republican?
  18. True I could tell yall all about him but that won't say crap. First hand experiencing this mans teaching in a classroom is the only way for someone to respect his input. I don't expect yall to value my word the way I value his. Anyways that link won't come up for me?
  19. I didn't mean theoretically in the literal sense. I should have said hypothetically, i'm sorry.
  20. Ben, your right. I guess refining a turbine in a nuclear power plant would make energy more efficient and things like that. I guess i'm talking more about new energy. Please though, any ways on making something more efficient I would love to hear although i'm not an engineer or an electrician so..... probably not going to comprehend everything :/
  21. But theoretically what if you are traveling the speed of light? You probably wouldnt be able to see the light, right? I know its physically impossible for something with mass to travel the speed of light, just asking theoretically.
  22. OMG no lol, regardless of all that stupid over the top conspiracy stuff. The groups are private because they don't have to give their names or any information out about the money they donated. It is for "political campaigns" and not taxed. So I can;t really give out any names but they do exist. My highschool government teacher is a U.S historiant and has his masters in education. He told me about them and I did my own research about them online. I can tell you my views on them but their biased just google private interest groups or start off with special interest groups and come back to talk about it on this thread.
  23. A private interest group is any group or individuals that can invest money into a politician without anyone knowing where the money came from. Look it up.
  24. Theirs Andromeda and some other known galaxies we see blueshifted, yes. Their all in our local cluster and pretty much in a line coming from the direction of CMBR, I think lol?
  25. We have invested trillions of dollars in the war on terror. What if we spent that money on school and clean energy for them instead of war machines?
