Could have means that something was possible in the past, but it did not happen. I would not 'take anybody out' on the basis of what I thought may have, might have or could have happened in the past as that's exactly what maniacs do. Surely we have justice systems for that sort of stuff or do you think you are Judge, jury and executioner? I once worked at an island environmental resort where there were many spiders and we would be called to remove them from rooms quite frequently. It would take me less than a minute if it was in plain view, the bigger the better. The best way to capture them is to: (1) get a clear lightweight wastepaper basket sized plastic bag. (2) turn the bag inside out by grabbing the bottom and pushing the rest of the bag around/over your hand. (3) make a small dip inside the bag with your fingers then quickly place the bag/dip over the spider on the wall. (4) slowly move your fingers in to get the spider to move into the dip and off the wall. (5) pinch the plastic bag to trap the spider inside it before removing it from the wall. I you ever have to remove a spider from your skin flick it off with your finger or a stick as more infections occur when you smash bits of spider leg through your skin by swatting them with your hand.

While I don't have Covid 19 I recently had 18 months of medical treatment for a severe lung infection (anti biotics, anti bacterial and steroids) starting 3 years ago in October 2018 and have just started the Infliximab treatment program at my local University Hospital after being hospitalized for 8 days with Ulcerative Colitis and being recently discharged. Since April 2020 I have been lung infection free although this left me with badly scarred lungs, permanent Stage 3 (severe) C.O.P.D. and symptoms almost identical to Long Covid. I suspect I picked up the lung infection from black mold in a shower while traveling in June 2018. While my family has no history of bowel disease or Colitis, I am aged just over 60 and developed light diarrhea in early July 2021 which became more persistent after 3 months. After 2 weeks of this my GP ordered sample and blood/clotting tests which ruled out the usual causes and any association with my 2 AstraZenica injections. Another week later my GP referred me to the GCUH Gastrointestinal program as I had substantial blood loss, mainly from a hemorrhoid, which was masking the diarrhea and the bleeding finally stopped after I voluntarily went on a full liquid diet. The blood tests showed I was anemic and I called an ambulance on Wednesday the 27th October 2021 (1 week later) after losing 17kg in total over 4 weeks and 2kg in a 4 day period (BMI 23-18). After spending a night in the Acute ward I was transferred to the Gastrointestinal research facility where I had a part Colonoscopy without anesthetic, i.e. live, where they diagnosed Chronic Ulcerative Colitis (greater than 1 month of severe diarrhea, 1 in 1000 people with Ulcerative Colitis go chronic) on Thursday October 28 2021. I was admitted to the GCUH Gastrointestinal Ward shortly after and commenced a 7 day Liquid and water diet (8 x 200ml Abbott Ensure Plus per day). I was still losing weight as most of the liquid diet was going straight through my system while also having mineral/saline/vitamin/aqua cortisone infusions (around 40 all up) and many blood tests (around 50 all up). On the afternoon of Saturday October 30 I had my first 2 hour Infliximab infusion, (to block my auto immune system from fighting my body, it is a monoclonal antibody manufactured from my blood) that stopped the severe diarrhea, and my body started actually absorbing the liquid nutrients in my diet. There are 2 main side effects though, increased risk of infection and increased breathlessness and I have 2 more infusions to go over the next 7 weeks. After being discharged on Thursday November 4 2021 I continued the liquid diet for the 7th day and am supplementing my normal diet with the liquid supplements in the mornings due to the number of medications I will be taking over the next 8 weeks on the Infliximab program. (Prednisone reducing weekly, Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Mesalazine, Colecalciferol D, Thiamine B, and my daily Breo Ellipta). After all of this the only Long Covid symptom I don't have is loss of my sense of smell although, since leaving the filtered air of the GCUH, my sinuses have been playing up as I am allergic to the pollen from winter flowering and native plants. Along with the severe weight and muscle loss, the severe C.O.P.D., the pollen and late spring humidity I feel breathless and exhausted most of the time with difficulty sleeping. I also don't feel anxious or depressed though because I have been living with many of these things, barring the severe weight and muscle loss, for the past 3 years already and I am picking up 1Kg in body weight every 5 days on average so I am on the mend. I have also been socially isolating for the past 18 months because I am in a high risk sub group.

Both examples show that the official max was the same temperature as that recorded at 9am on the next day. It increased the official maximum temperature recorded.

This increased the lowest monthly maximum temperature for 2 consecutive months in one location and the same anomaly can occur in over 800 other places in Australia.

There is one maximum temperature for a day, between midnight and the next midnight, if you look at the half hourly temperature records, as the ABC did, and the official maximum temperature which is measured between 9am on one day and 9am on the next day. Here is another data point from the previous month in Sydney. Please note that the details below are from the monthly summary where the official maximum for the day and the 9am temperature for the next day are both above the 9am and 3pm temps for the day. This was the only way I could identify this anomaly as the complete records of the temperatures recorded every 30mins for Sydney (or all the other 870 BOM weather stations in Australia) are not publicly available after a couple of days. While it looks like you have conceded that the dates and times on the ABC article that I cited are correct for AEST you appear to be suggesting that one example does not make it true. This anomaly can and will occur to the official daily maximum in Australia whenever you have a series of cool days followed by an increase in temperature to 9am on the next day per the ABC article. Tuesday refers to Tuesday August 24 where 11.5 degrees Celsius was reported by the ABC as the official daily maximum temperature for Tuesday.

That is the time on the east coast of the US when it is Wed 25 Aug 2021 at 6:46am, updated Wed 25 Aug 2021 at 10:48am on the Australian East coast. You are currently UTC - 4 and we are UTC + 10 so your local time is 14 hours (8h to midnight + 6h to 6am) before ours and the date and times shown on the ABC website are translated into the local time wherever you are. As I said before it is probably an anachronism from pre electronic recording times that they haven't fixed yet. When the official record is based on the 24 hours to 9am it would impact on low maximums and high minimums. I It would alter the weather statistics measured by day or month and dates of extreme daily statistics, if they are recorded as extremes at all, in the following link. This will not impact official maximums if the temperature in the next 9 hours of the next day is below the maximum on the day. I suppose it is some sort of pre electronic anachronism from when people would have had to get up at midnight to take the readings. I'm glad they are doing it now, especially after the 2004 official report made after the Canberra bushfires highlighted the lack of effective forest management practices in this respect. Obviously the policy of just "putting out fires" as they occur, adopted by all the different governments until a couple of years ago, just causes untold damage to people, property and livestock.

Incidentally, I was looking for rainfall results in Greenland due to recent reports of record rainfall there and could not find any actual records apart from one site where the details for the 3 days this month were blanked out. I noticed that they also reported their temperatures and rainfall to 9:00am their time so I assume the bias against lower maximums referred to above would be common around the world in similar circumstances to those in Australia. The reason I was looking for the actual rainfalls is because the articles describing this event only talked about 7 billion tonnes of rain in 3 days. Area of rainfall = 1,710,000 square kilometers with 1,000,000 square meters per square kilometer As 1 kilogram is the weight of 1 liter of water and 1 liter of water is equivalent to 1 mm of rainfall for a square meter the calculation is simple. (7,000,000,000 x 1000)/(1,710,000 x 1,000,000) = 4.094 kilograms/meter or 4.094 mm of rainfall in 3 days averaged for every meter of the Greenland ice sheet.
