I wonder about two things: 1, Does anyone here know of a good game tutorial which explains all the lines of code, if u do know of a good and long tutorial that covers a lot of areas but doesent involve game programming please give me that(google gives me hello world program, hate it). 2, How can i make a java program to exe, would be easier to launche under Xp. Thank you all for your answers aM
  3. That is werry easy with all distributions i have tried(I have installed a good bunch of them, but havent used all of them), the only one i got stuck in(and that was a year or 2 ago was college linux. College linux got a "hardcore" installation prosses if u want to use their installer to creat a partition. If u look away from this one linux is really cool:P
  4. Fedora core 2 is a nice distribution, it is simpel to install/use the only prob i had with it was that my ati drivers would not work , i bet i could have fixed this proble easy enough. Mandrake 9.2 dident find my integrated network card(nforce chippset) so i dident test this one so good as fedora c2. About installing linux on a windows machine(windows is installed allready when u whant to try linux), this can be done easy you just need to creat a new partiton that u can have linux on. If u do somthing like this you should be abel to select OS when ur pc boot. aM
  5. Hmm, i got Used ram in that corner. Dont know wy but it seems my computer is working after my za reinstall, still dont know wy. I would just like to say thank you all for ur help with my problem, esp. you 5614
  6. When you get your task manager up the ram usage stands down in the right corner. Btw, i dont run all those programs at once, i run them one by one and i only use avast(regulary). I think i have found some sort of solution to my problem, when i reinstall zone alarm the ram usage goes down to normal level(240mb), i dont know wy it works that way but atleast the ram usage got down. aM
  7. just somer more info to you: I have 2 sticks both of them is the same speed and is on 512mb each, my taskmanager shows that the computer ram usage is 7xxmb, but when i calculate all the memory usage the prosseses(those shown on task manager) uses i only get 4xxmb, so i what i dont get is: How can my computer use 7xxmb ram when it is idle and how come my prosseses only take 4xxmb of it. I have used 3 AV progs(nod32, norton2004 pro and avast) I have a bitprotection prog(zonealarm) and i have used both adaware and spy bot. Does any one here know how to reduce the ram usage? aM
