gm of tris = 1L x 1M x FW (121.14) = 121.14 gm if u have 1M solution and have to make 0.1M it means you have to dilute it 10 times. (1M/0.1M = 10 dilution factor) 1 ml of your stock(1M) and 9 ml of water to get 0.1M. 1000X you have to dilute it 1000 times ( not really feasible to have 1000X solution of tris)
