Star trek technology, How much is possible?
CPL.Luke replied to reyam200's topic in Modern and Theoretical Physics
you could have just asked.... -
can you percieve yourself moving faster than light?
CPL.Luke replied to CPL.Luke's topic in Relativity
thats it, thought I was confusing myself on this one -
I ran into an interesting question, if you move at .999C then time is moving extremely slow for you, so if you tried to check your position say relative to several stars, wouldn't it appear as if you had moved faster than the speed of light?
-
its also improtant to remember martillo that if a theory works for some simple problem, then it will most definatly work for a larger more complicated version of the same problem
-
yeah, but I just felt like getting that rant out of my system, is there even such a degree as applied scripture?

I did however observe a couple of green plasmas and such things that I would attribute to ionized metal in the air

no there all right, its just that there view point is different, each observers observations of the area around them are equally valid, its time dilation and when they say velocity they mean the magnitude of the velocity, as you could not put in velocity even if you wanted to in that equation, what your doing is not putting in velocity even.

it doesn't matter if they don't stop. they will all see eachother aging at different rates, it is real its relativity, but if any of them enters into one of the others frames, it will sinc up again
-
each ship will see the other two ships aging slower. this is not inconsistant, because as soon as someone enters the same reference frame of one of the other observers you know that they were in fact the ones moving, and it all sincs up.

I believe there is a bit of regulation in it or something....where's a neuroscientist when you need one.... but if you spend some time looking around on arxiv for the original paper about that group of brain cells you may find more of what your looking for there (these results were published in the past 6 months)

I can actually prove that god doesn't exist like in the bible if god existed like in the bible why didn't he actually create the universe as described in the bible? since god didn't do it like whats in the bible i can only be infererred that if God does exist he had no contact with those who wrote the bible.

results are dependant on frame of reference furthermore the lorentz contraction formula is supposed to just be a correction factor in experiments, it is not a vector quantity

go read post #18, I gave a moderate explanation of the center of the brain thats responsible for empathy, and where its located. There can be no mind to mind communication, there can be unknown signals that humans give to each other. For instance empathy theoretically makes a person feel exactly like what they are observing.

I think its because of the quantity of microwaves, a normal modern microwave has about 1000 watts of output. When the microwaves aren't absorbed by anything they just bounce around in the cavity of the microwave. Until eventually the output would seem like its somewhere around 50000 watts. now a 1000 watt lightbulb is extremely bright and its very easy to melt the glass on one of them (in fact you can melt the glass by just touching it and turning it on, the oil from your finger will make it heat unevenly). I personally have never seen a chamber designed specifically to bounce visible light around in it. I'm sure you would have a similar effect if you built one however.
-
I would highly doubt that the mri would show anything bad or highly abnormal. The most it could possibly give is a slightly enlarged portion of the brain which is relatively common, for instance part of the mathmatics center in Einsteins brain was enlarged. furthermore MRI's are completely 100% safe

really?, does your lab have a website? I would love to read through it

thats amazing YT, but are an of those parts still readily available?

Why are ID ads allowed on the site?
CPL.Luke replied to The Spith's topic in Evolution, Morphology and Exobiology
all you have to do to get creationist or evolution ads is to start screaming inteligent design ID evolution time magazine god jesus creator darwin grr maybe not -
mine is actually based off of star wars as well, I used luke skywalker as a user name in an old game called battletech (mechwarrior except online and before mechwarrior 1). essentially I joined a clan got to the rank of Corporal, and the name just stuck as it had a little ring to it and thinking back holy crap that was 9 years ago

I don't think anybody could build a comp from scratch, (by scratch I mean no mobo)
-
hahahaha, awesome

if your referring to teslas proposed energy beam, thats a long way away from the star wars system. I would doubt that the scientists involved in the project had even heard of tesla's work on energy beams also could you please stop posting in all caps, its a bit annoying
